I was doing keyword research.
After I published my last blog, I was doing keyword research for the next one.
I use Jaaxy and another keyword software I have owned since 2008 - it's called Market Samurai and that is where these snapshots come from. I labeled each metric with a brief explanation of what it is measuring.
I was checking out my own blog in comparison to some others and noticed my http:// is ranking differently than the https://
I crossed out my domain because that is irrelevant here - just that the numbers are different for http: & https
I went to Bing and noticed that my site was listed as http: there - so I resubmitted as https:
And look at the huge reset my site got!
I still have the varience between http: and https -- I wonder if there is anyway to make the Internet see them as one? I have been testing other sites since I discovered this and all of the ones I have tested so far have a worse reading on the http site than on the http --
Still learning - looking for someone to sweep in and explain this to me.
Seems like what I did in Bing Webmaster tools worked though - didn't it!

I need to do some research on this myself. I was surprised to see both coexist for my site as well. The http site exists first and because, and this is true, the SSL certificate is added to the http site it creates the https site on top of the http site (but I need to check this out).
Hi Heather,
Do a WA search for https vs http and you will find several articles with answers that might surprise you, they helped me.
To your success,
Steve
I can't help. I've submitted my site to GA, Bing but not to Yahoo yet. Still trying to figure that one out. - shirley

I don't know the answer... However, I am thinking https is being recognized by google as a secured site whereas http is a possible risky site. Google also rank https higher than http because of the secure. Maybe???
Looking forward to see who may know as well. Thanks for posting the question.
