Struggle to build my new website

After my failure in building my very first website, now I'm struggling to build my new website. It is better than my first website but still some things not correct yet, for example: I cannot justify my text that I have copy pasted from my ms word doc. I have tried several tips but they didn't work. I have followed the Affiliate Bootcamp course 1 lesson 4, but for the time being it stop there because I'm not sure with what I will write for my next posts. It's not easy to write something about that you do not master. Any advices are welcome. Thanks.

Hello Hayu,
I can fully relate to your struggle. It is not so easy to get into "the swing of things" when you are still new to this.
My advice to you is to try and find something that you are familiar with and can write about with confidence and authority.
It is very difficult to write about something you dont really know about.
Just keep trying, and it will become easier later.
Best of luck.

Hello Theuns. Yes, it is not easy to write something that you don't really know and don't have any experience about. For example: My website is about WA and it's community. For my next posts I thought I would write about other affiliate programs such as amazon.com, but I never become a member of that affiliate. How will I tell and convince people about this affiliate?
That's why perhaps for my next posts I will write topics like what Evelyn suggested to me below. Something that I know about.
Thank you for your support.
Best wishes for you.

Groeten, Hayu

I saw her response and I agree with that yes.
Best of luck to you.

Good luck with it.

Click on the icon on the far right to open up all your editing options.

To justify your text copy your content to your new post then highlight all the text you want justified and click on the icon I highlighted in yellow on the attachment.

Hello Jerry, I use twenty thirteen theme. I don't have those icons, the highlighted yellow, all in the right side of it, including paragraph, font family, font sizes, all of these icons do not appear in my editing text page. Do you know why?
Thanks for your kind attention.

Hayu -- If you have only a single line of icons in your editing view, click on the rightmost icon on that line (the "Toggle Toolbar" icon) to display the additional icons.

I will try it Bob. Thank you for the tip. Have a good evening.

The old "kitchen sink" option Bob.

Hahaha...a newbie in making website like me sometimes don't know about simple trick like the old 'kitchen sink' option. It did work and I feel really stupid. I've tried severals other tricks and did't work. Thanks again Bob and Jerry for this tip.

Yeah, Mark -- Kind of like: If you don't see the icons that someone else does, try using one of the icons that you do have to get you the others. In this case, it's the "Toggle Toolbars" icon that reveals the hidden ones.

Hello Robbie! Yes, I think I should have more patience in learning something new. Wow, you've delete and reset your site for 6 times. You inspire me to do the same thing. Snail's pace or baby's step is just ok I guess. I wish you a great success ahead. Regards.

Hi, Hayu! Just remember there are no failures here...only "do-overs." I've had to delete and reset my site 6 times - finally got it on the 7th!. Frustration and anxiety, yes, as I'm moving at a snail's pace. But "practice makes perfect," as you will see. :)

One tip, don't copy and paste from ms word, it will mess up your formatting. You're better to use Notepad or google docs, then do your formatting within the Wordpress editor. :)

Hello Kathy, you are right. I did copy pasted my text from ms word. I've checked my computer it doesnt have Notepad program, but it has OneNote which is different than Notepad. I don't have google account to write on google docs. Should I make google account?
Thanks for your attention.
Have an awesome weekend. Cheers.

No reason why you can't get yourself a gmail account and then get g docs with it....nothing to lose!

As Mark says, create a Google account and you'll be able to use Google Docs (all free). Another good thing about doing that, is all your content is then backed up. :)

I'm going to make a gmail account. Thanks Mark.

I'm going to make gmail account. Thanks Mark. Have a great weekend.

Ik stuur je een PM/send you a PM

Dank je wel, Loes. I'm waiting for your PM. Many thanks for your kind attention.

Try Google docs, I also recommend not trying to be a perfectionist. It can hinder your growth. You can always go back fix things. Believe it or not, making mistakes is a good thing.

As for writing articles. Start off with something you enjoy within your niche, It could be something like your experience with working from home, it could be about WA and they community, Start small and build out. if you tried another service do a review on that service.

Do some keyword research on a specific topic you'd like to write about. There is the Alphabet soup technique.

Here is some training on finding topics to write about. Wish you the best!

Hello Evelyn, sometimes I dont have the patience in learning something new. I always want to jump some lessons :-) I realized that's why I make mistakes.

In Bootcamp course 1 lesson 3 ( if I'm not wrong), Kyle said that we have to make 3 topics and write the title but without the tekst yet and safe it after making our get started topic. I wrote about WA and it's community and I have no idea yet what topics should I write for my next posts. Because I have no experience and knowledge about online business. How will i convinced my readers?

Many thanks for your kind attention.
I wish you will achieve all of your online goals.
Cheers.

Lol We all learn differently and I understand what you mean. I jumped too in the beginning because I wanted to add images. I found that was a waste of time because Kyle will eventually go over everything.

We have to be patient and it's important to follow the training. Trust me, the owners of WA knows what they are doing and talking about.

in course 1 lesson 3 what you would be doing is your about me page, your privacy policy and your getting started page. If you did that that's great.

Believe it or not, you have more experience than you think. You got a site up didn't you?

Lot's of people don't even have that. You're next topic could be about your experience building your website. Tell people what you experienced.

Another topic could be about the importance of support when building a business from home.

Another topic could be about writing an article.

Another topic could be about Affiliate programs.

I don't want you to think like that, you know more than you think.

When I started I didn't know how important keyword were. I always said keywords will be the death of me. Lol One of my first articles was called MLM is not for me. I just wrote it. I didn't do keyword research, I just wanted to get experience in adding content to my site and publishing it. I looked in Jaaxy and now that article is on page 1 ranked 1. If I had deleted that article it wouldn't be sitting on the first page of Google

I really highly suggest not to delete things, there is nothing wrong with making adjustments. When you delete stuff, you're not moving forward.

You want to get the hang of things and the process is by taking action and experiencing mistakes and learning from them. Remember you know more than you think. :) Keep pushing. :) Evelyn

Jumping lessons.......no no no noooo!

Each course, one step at a time, any question about a part you don't understand...just ask a question in the thread you're in at the time or type it into your q box at the top..you'll get the answer soon enough to get you going again but, jumping ahead without learning????

Honestly, don't be tempted to do that as the courses are designed to flow sequentially one part to the next.

Mark

You're opening my eyes Evelyn. With your explanation above, you make me feel easier in thinking about what can I write later for my next posts. May I use your example of topics to make my next posts? Of course with my own words and my own experience.
What a wonderful community we have here in WA.

Many thanks for your support.

Regards.

Of course you can, sorry I took so long to answer, I had to take care of children things. :)

Hey keep going :) I am a relative newbie too and its been a steep learning curve. The lessons here are great, also try search up top for more specific things or even google and youtube. There's a plugin and a fix for everything!

Hello Leia, welcome to WA. I agree, the lessons and tutorials here are great. The community too. I've been asked advices from some fellow members here, googling, and also seek information from youtube. I've tried all tips that I got but not one tip works yet to justify my text. Hopefully I will find a way to fix my problem or perhaps I will edit and rewrite my text directly in my website. Thanks for your attention. Have a great weekend.

Hi, LKing1. Yes, a very steep learning curve indeed!...but so worth the effort in the long run.
