Are You doing the Right Thing?

When I ask this question I don't mean it in the practical, task driven, sense that guides the "business as usual" morass.

Things like, "did you make 32 sales calls today", or "did you fill out your TPS reports correctly". I mean more along the, perhaps seemingly existential, lines of whether you are doing the thing you were meant to do in this life.

If you have found Wealthy Affiliate, the chances are you have asked yourself this question before. Whether flat out, staring in the mirror, in a heart-to-heart with yourself, or more subconsciously where you have this feeling that something is missing with your chosen career path.

I have experienced both in my journey, and I believe it is the most important question we have to answer in our lives. Whether you believe that yourself, doesn't really matter. To me it's similar to believing in gravity.

We are all very different people, with unique skills, passions, ideas, loves, hates, experiences, vices, etc. For me that means we each have a unique path that will fulfill us and allow us to express our uniqueness to help make the world a better place.

I think that is at the core of all of our lives. Many, myself included, get dragged onto paths that don't serve that end. Mostly because we buy into some purpose that has more to do with societal egoism than following our own true path, but I digress; a little.

So, ask yourself these types of questions often in regard to your journey here at WA. Does this feel right? Am I excited about this? Whether it's choosing a niche or writing a post. Does this reflect who I am, or who I want to be?

Although I believe this is the perfect place to follow and express our individual genius, it is still possible, even easy, to get drawn onto a path here at WA that has little to do with the real you.

So listen to yourself. Take advice from everyone, but always put your own vision first. We all build castles in the sky, they are all unique and beautiful particularly to the dreamer.
