Wayne - I would keep the links that you have.

As the title says, how do i link a sheet to my website page? do i need to have the page hosted somewhere? how do i get it to download to the customers computer when they click
thanks for the replies, i'll use your advice and see if i can get it to work. fingers crossed :)
Hi! There,
1. Clicking on "Websites" on left hand side, go to "Site Comments" and from there login as administrator.
2. In the admin page clicking on "Posts" on left hand side and click on "All Posts" and find the post or page you want to link a sheet then click on "Edit".
3. In this edit page find a place you want to attach your sheet and select "Add Media" icon which looks like a camera on top of music note.
4. Then click on "Upload Files" in left upper corner and click on "Select Files". Then you can choose any file you want to attached, such as .txt or .xlsx file.
5. On the right hand side change the title which will be the link text shown in your post or page and select to "Media File" and click "Insert into post" in right bottom corner.
6. In admin page clicking on "Update" button in right upper corner.
Then you can see your file is there in your page or post with link text you gave it in step 5. If you click on it .xlsx file will be downloaded automatically and .txt file is opened in a new page where people can download from there.
Hope that helps you!
Good Luck!
Juliana
Upload the file to your media library and use its link in your post to make a download link your viewers can click on. I do it on my drone site with a checklist PDF I created.
I usually create a pdf file and then upload it to a subdirectory using an FTP program.
For example:
document is downloadable-document.pdf.
I upload it via FTP to a sub-directory (folder) I created for downloads. reports
Once the file is uploaded the link to the document is:
exampledomain dot com/reports/downloadable-document.pdf
within your site manager website details include your ftp username and ftp password.
Here is some training: How to Upload Files to WordPress using FTP Hope this helps.
If you have a PDF file, you upload it to your media library in Wordpress. You can hyperlink to it from your post.
If it is a page on your website, you can simply make a direct hyperlink to it. When you open the link maker, you should get a drop down menu with all your existing pages.
If it is a page in Mailchimp (or another landingpage provider), you can link to the url that you'll find in your Mailchimp (or provider's) dashboard.
Hope this helps.
