Search Engine Ranking

On June 14, 2018, the “Beautiful Game.,” will begin in Russia. All the teams from around the globe will present their best players to challenge each other for world supremacy at the World Cup of Soccer.

To make it to the World Cup each team has played other teams according to the region where they are located. Being from Jamaica and living in Canada I have cheered for both teams. Both play in the North, Central America and Caribbean Qualifier Zone. Neither of them qualified for the 2018 World Cup, so I will have to wait another four years.

Like the child in the image I also had dreams of being a Pele, from Brazil or Eusebio from Portugal. Well as we can see I did not make it but I still enjoy watching the beautiful game.

So what does that have to do with Search Engines (SEO) and rankings? Well for Content Marketers, Google, Bing and Yahoo is our ticket to making an online income. As we know, it is important to get our website indexed and our content ranked by the SEOs. Landing on page one and in first place, means that each time someone uses your keywords in a search your post will be one of the first to be selected in response to that search.

The more visitors to your post and websites increases the probability that one or more of those visitors will click on an affiliate partner’s banner and purchase a product or service.

Today I went into Jaaxy and clicked on Site Rank, to take a look at how my posts are doing. Was I pleasantly surprised. The bad news is that I have a few of my earlier posts still not ranked, but I now do have more faith in the process.

Being part of Kyle’s SWAG Challenge, I have followed the training closely, sometimes going back over the Bootcamp and the Online Entrepreneur Certification Courses. Like watching a comedy movie, you have to watch it more than once to get the jokes you did not get the first time. I have to say I missed a lot in the training the first time, especially setting up Google and Bing Analytics.

What made my day is that several of my posts are not only on page on all three search engines, but they are also in first place. I have one on page six, and position 55 on Google, but apart from the ones not currently ranking that is the lowest.

I am also seeing some movement on Instagram, thanks to Tony Hamilton and Kaju who have provided trainiing on using social media, in particular Instagram.

This is our World Cup folks, like all those players who will play their hearts out for two weeks in Russia, we have to work hard to ensure that our posts are ranking and placing on page one. Have a great weekend and please leave a like and a comment.
