Like most of you here I am here to make a "passive" income online, but I feel that to many times the meaning of passive gets skewed especially as I look through my facebook feed.
It's incredible the number of various ads I'll come across that advertise the make money with little work "dream" and they pass this off as the meaning of passive income. Furthermore they say that you can have it all automated for you!!!
Basically what they're selling to you is passive automated income... sounds pretty great right?
Now I'd say a majority of us are pretty smart here, but even then these ads pull at the heart strings and make you at least think about joining these schemes to put it for a better word.

Anymore I can honestly scroll through my feed and see the small snippet of the ad and tell what program it's advertising because they're all pretty hyped and I legitimately feel bad for many of the people paying for these advertisement because they're probably desperate for money.
Anytime you see someone that is advertising a product that says you'll make money fast and that the work is mostly done for you... you should be running far far away. This takes a lot of work and I haven't achieved my goals yet but as I put in the work I know the results will come.
So what is TRUE passive income? Well here are my thoughts... It's where you work and you work until you start seeing the results you want to achieve. Over time as you have more content whether it's through your website, social media, youtube, etc you'll start to receive income from the work you did a few months ago eventually turning into a year and you just keep building off of this.
That's the beauty of Wealthy Affiliate is that it sets you up for a successful future. The results aren't going to be immediate and they don't advertise that it will. But as you continue to hone your website and build out your content it'll turn into something pretty amazing that is all your own.
As my closing thoughts heed boomergp's advice if you're new here don't rush into affiliate marketing as it really is just like any other business. You need to have a business plan.
- Figure out what your business is going to be about
- then figure out what part of the market you're going to target (niche)
- Then Research your niche and formulate some ideas for content
- Start making a plan about how you're going to market your content
- just your website? or also social media, youtube, etc.
- Lastly follow the plan that you laid out
As you do these things you'll start to create a real passive income. Let me know your thoughts and if I missed anything feel free to chime in.
