Hacker Warning !
Hey everyone,
I'm not sure if you heard on the news in your area, but there has been an issue with Microsoft and Windows. On the news they were saying to make sure auto is on and to only use Google Chrome for now when getting online. Don't use Internet Explorer,its more susceptible to hackers getting in. I just wanted to let everyone know about this if you haven't already!
It's crazy that we also have to cover up the camera on top of our laptops. My laptop almost got hacked into earlier this year, but I just refreshed my laptop without losing my files and everything has been ok. I have my camera covered up as well. I hope everyone has a wonderful day ! : )

Sometimes you must consider the source. At ALL of the colleges that I have taught at over the past 3 years, Google Chrome usage because of its data encryption method has been banned.
I am a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, so are my partners and we have seen no issues. However I doubt that anyone ay WA is of our skill level so it may be good for them.
My employees mostly use Pale Moon, Edge, and Torch as browsers.
That's good to know. It was Q13 Fox News in Seattle, Washington that said it. They're a very well known and trusted news station. I've been fortunate to have better luck with Google than Internet Explorer. Thank you for your insight. I'll have to check those out. Better to be safe than sorry as well. Have a great day !
Always good to put out these warnings and reminder. I have my sticky over my camera - "anti-spy ware:)" We have never used IE. Strong passwords also. Thanks for the post.
I'm getting dragged into tis too Elizabeth. In Win 10.my IE is constantly hanging and going to white screen with rolling circle and Edge sometimes is no better. It looks like Chrome is getting better as an alternative!
I'm sorry to hear WIndows 10 is having problems. Maybe try refreshing your laptop without losing your files and important information. You will have to reinstall some things such as Adobe, Windows 10. I have done this and it helps. My lap top has been running so much better , faster. I hope yours gets resolved.
What version of Windows did you have ? If you have a Windows 7 or 8 don't upgrade to Windows 10 because its not compatible with this specific upgrade, update to Windows 8.1. I tried Windows 10 and I had a lot of problems.
