Ways to plan a successful Newsletter campaign
The importance of a Newsletter
The single most important marketing you can do.
Having just counseled a client on the benefits of a newsletter I thought I would share some background. I have sent Newsletters for many years and believe they are the cheapest and most effective marketing anyone can do.
They keep your brand at the front of the consumers mind
Little time is required to write a short blog
It is not a sales tool, it is for entertainment and learning
You can link to anywhere
Analytic tell you every thing you need to know
Consistency is necessary and makes the difference in success.
My favorite saying is;
If they are not reading your Newsletters they are reading someone else's
Done properly a newsletter will gather subscribers to your base and grow your market.
The 7 most important procedures are easy to keep in mind.
1) Maintain a consistent brand using your Logo and a standard footing.
2) Your Subject line and header are critically important
3) Adding links shows where the reader interest lies
4) Consistency is important and the more often the better
5) Keeping a clean list by deleting those that never open a page
6) Providing relevant reader information
7) Follow up will drive sales.
Your Newsletter will answer their questions
Not just answer questions but solve problems and show them the way forward.
It is not a sales tool but a customer retention facility that lasts the distance.
Think of the How, when and why questions of your niche product and bring up your ansers
How do you do editing. Why edit your product, The best time to edit a page style questions.
Planning is important
Like all marketing consistency is extremely important and that is why I recommend a twelve month template. This will include;
Date to send
Subject matter
Headline
List selection
Plus, off course, reviewing all your results.
With this in place you or a delegate can write the post at any time and set it up to go out on the selected date.
My conclusion
This is just a brief overview to stir your emotions and get you on the way to results. I have written a lot more at my website at Online business marketing available above.
Best wishes

Thank you, Peter...
There are email campaigns and newsletter campaigns. Are you able to explain the difference please?
Thank you
:-)

Hi Richard,
Email marketing is usually a sales pitch housed in a short message. this may be to one or thousands of subscribers. often with an Auto responder. (Automatic mail).
A newsletter is like a glossy from a magazine, set up to give general information on the company or product.
It is basically customer touch , consistently , until they are ready to buy.
Lots of info on my web site found under my profile.
