Age is no barrier
The internet has made things equal
was reading today a post by member Fran Kelso who is an admirable 80-year old achiever.
(Not her photo above) but a very accomplished and successful lady. This got me thinking about changing attitudes in age.
Not long ago a Barista was an aged guy with a mustache and Tattoos that had lots of experience and heaps of bad attitude .
Take a look now and you will find a 20 something female, at half the price, with smiles and politeness.
A change in technology was a change in employment. It is now a press button industry
Can you be too young for a job?
Go to a doctor and you want a few years behind them. Unless you are in a public hospital
work experience medicos don't do it for me.
There are lots of example but my point is this;
The Internet is ageless.
A 20 year old says an out of work student can do this and an 80-year old grandma has no problems still achieving.
Providing you are willing everything is in place to take a position on the net regardless of age.
In many countries the age of retirement is moving from 65 out to 70. This is arguably acceptable if you are in a job that does not require physical stamina but some are broken down because of the work life they have had to endure.
The internet supplies an equal footing for all ages to compete regardless of age, nationality, race, sex or gender. We can be invisible with only the results showing.
Many of us are in post retirement age doing it for enjoyment and for need but having a good time whilst here.
It keeps you young, the mind active and an equal to all.

Fran provides me a target to go by and emulate.

Well its not an age thing, as you point out we 70+ can still work a keyboard, not with the dexterity of an accomplished typist but I have now graduated to more than one finger.
Hey Peter,
Thank you for sharing this post. My wife is only 62 and I asked my wife to think of making money online. She declined the offer, but when I showed her our senior citizen who are active online, she smiled and said she would definitely think about it. Good day.

Peter, it just goes to show that anyone can do the Wealthy Affiliate training and learn to build an online business regardless of age.
I agree. It's exciting to be in a place where I feel that I have an equal opportunity since osteoarthritis has limited my choices. This is great exercise for the brain, too!
Great post-Peter I agree with you age is no longer the barrier it once was because we have different thinking now then we did back in a day.
I just take each day as it comes and go by how I feel for that day. I have my good days and bad days just like anyone else does. But I am grateful for each one of those days.
