This Old Couch

Just recently I've gotten to the point where I can't stand looking at my worn out old couch which was bought second hand about 8 years ago and has had the privilege of being jumped upon my many of my kids and their friends. Well now my kids have grown up a bit and all besides one have stopped jumping on the couch (Hurrraaaay!). It can tell lots of stories and brings back great memories but still enough is enough........
So I decided that this ole couch is going to be my inspiration to making my first $500 online. I'd like this to happen by around April when we have here in Israel our Passover holiday and it's the time to renew and refresh the house. All being well I will renew my couch with money earned from IM in honor of Passover.
And guess what? Since making this goal, my old couch has become beloved to me! It has become a symbol of perseverance and every time I see it I think about another idea that I have for my website. Yep, this ole couch has become a real inspiration.
So wish me well and I'll keep you posted when I get the new one :)

When I was a young teen, I moved back to my father's home in the valley from my mom's home on the coast. It was not to long when my sister followed suit. She brought along her friend and the 3 of us had a great long summer and a ton of fun.
My Dad's girlfriend decided to ditch the couch and get a new one. What to do with the old. We girls settled the problem for her. We wanted it outside, we always had a ton of friends and neighbors over to our house. We had a patio outside and it covered on three sides. We put little stands on both sides of the couch and at the end of it, so we had lots of room for everyone to sit, a place for the radio,and a place for our sodas.
Our couch was really a hideaway bed so on the super hot nights, the three of would sleep out there where it wast so hot. Because the patio was covered on three sides even when it rained, it rarely got the couch wet. We kept that old couch, (hideaway) for three years and we had so much fun out there for three springs and summers,and early falls.
Even though it has been it has 39 years it still makes me smile and laugh just thinking of yester year. Today we probaly not be able to do that as some one would be upset that someone could and rather would have a more then slightly used and weathered couch out of doors. But to the three of us, it was simple and brought hours of fun and laughter and no one was injured or harmed.
