Can you please share your experiences? The pros and cons. Advice. Thanks in advance!

Hi Hana,

I don't do a regular Vlog, however I do post videos to Youtube pretty often. I believe they're very helpful in promoting a business, a band or whatever you're doing that you want to generate traffic for. I used to refer to it as, "The Holy Trinity of Video Marketing".

That is, you should post a video on the homepage of your website, your Facebook Fan Page (NOT your social Facebook page), and your Youtube Channel. The end of your video should have a call to action such as "Visit My Facebook Page at [facebook dot com/yourbusiness]. At the beginning of your video, you should always ask your audience to SUBSCRIBE. Your Facebook page should of course, have link back to your website. This way, you're linked three ways (thus the "Holy Trinity" reference)

Nowadays, there's a new alternative to vlogging, I actually wrote about it on my own WA blog, so oif you want, you can read it here: Hope this helped!

From what I have learnt is that mimicry is a form of flattery.

Look for the top 3 successful vloggers in your industry / niche.
Look at how they market themselves
Their publishing frequency
Their channel layout
Their content etc
Everything they do...

Because they are in a position that you desire, and they are making a success out of it, the path they have traveled is a successful one.

You dont need to reinvent the wheel, just do as they do. To be better than them, you just need to increase the workload. Want 10x the success do 10x the work that they do.

I just wanted to invite people who are vlogging on YT :-) to share advice they might have for a brand new vlogger. I'm not too worried about monetizing my channel.

I am interested in basic advice (one or two points) people can offer to increase views and subscribes:

Does a daily, weekly, or monthly publishing schedule work best for you?

How many hours a day do you set aside for answering comments if your videos get a decent amount of views and comments?

How does this activity compare to a traditional blog, if you know?

And anything anyone might like to add. :-D

Thank you for your response BeauAndNik.

I would check out some popular YT vloggers and see what they do. Find best practices, and adjust

not exclusively but I am using YT to success. What are looking at learning?

Anyone vlogging exclusively or primarily youtube-ing it?
