One month in and learning lots!

Affiliate marketing was something that I'd often come across, working in the network marketing space but i always shyed away from it until now.

Having been indexed within three weeks of joining which I was ecstatic about, I then faced the challenge that my 'bounce' rate was very high on my website.

Those of you that haven't heard of the bounce rate, just like myself, this was the percentage of people that would leave my website on the first page without clicking on anything else.

I started to feel a little disheartened but I knew that I had to reevaluate what the problem was so I went back into my website and viewed it from a potential customers point of view. A change of insite made me see what changes i needed to make.

I already knew that I had to create content every day although this wasn't always possible as I run two businesses and a full-time job but I knew that by creating content regularly and tweaking certain things in my posts, I could eventually reduce this bounce rate over a few weeks. I am currently 80% through level two and taking on board what I need to do and how much I need to learn.

I am loving this journey and the chance it has given me to create a website for my niche which is the perfume industry. I am also very much aware that I have a long way to go before I start seeing financial results and I understand that, as everything takes time and as the picture above states, little steps in the right direction really do bring results. If you are new to affiliate marketing, enjoy every process, take your time and remember that Rome wasn't built in a day.

Over the next three months I plan to create more posts, constantly thinking of new ideas and hopefully, in time, will gain new customers as my niche broadens and become more familiar in the online world as the hairdresser who sells perfume 😊
