What is Wealthy Affiliate For?
I have been on WA for a short time now, but long enough to understand the basis of what goes on around here. It's clear to me that most people come here from sites that promote working from home, working online, making money etc. While that is all fine and great and I do believe that you can make money from WA, that is not the main reason I am here.
I decided to join Wealthy Affiliate as a Premium member because after finishing the first free week of lessons I realized that there is nothing else out there like this site. They give you all the tools, strategies, and websites you could ever need to succeed. All you need when coming to this site is the mindset. You decide if you are here for the long run. You decide if you believe that investing in yourself is worth it.
To me, this is valuable education that they won't teach you anywhere else. You can constantly search for everything you find here but chances are you'll have to look in a thousand different locations and even then you might get half-ass stuff that doesn't tell you exactly what you need to know. My boyfriend right now is going to college for a degree in business. They sure do give him a lot of homework, but about a year and a half in and they still haven't taught him one useful thing about utilizing social media to draw traffic or make sales. I have been on WA for less than a month and I am teaching my boyfriend the everything that I am learning here.
So what is Wealthy Affiliate really for? Well a lot of people are betting on the fact that it can make you tons of money. Yes, it can, however that is dependent on you. What I personally get out of it, is the chance to learn, the chance to find ways to explore the wide web and connect with people that are like-minded as me. I am learning so much here everyday and I do not want that cease (I doubt it ever will with the thousands of training videos available). I would not say that this site is for anyone who just wants to mess around and make quick money. This site is for people who really want to invest in themselves and see themselves go far and possibly make this a lifelong career, because it really can be, with the right mindset.

Yes, I believe so haha. I know that putting in the effort will pay off and I'm more than willing to devote my time and effort because to me I am investing in myself, not some company who would never care about me. If I make the effort, it is for myself and my well-being and I have hope that I can make it to the finish line.
I agree with you totally I came on here personally because I wanted to make money, but after a few days realised it is much more than that. I was getting awesome training and really enjoying myself at the same time.
Yes that is exactly how I felt! I initially was looking for ways to make money online, and I am very happy to have found this one.

Hailey, I think you have found that you are not really making money FROM the WA website as many programs tell you you can from theirs, but that you are learning how to make your own money from the ideas in your own head and from the many people out there who offer to pay you to promote for them.
WA teaches you HOW to make money, it doesn't give money out.
