Can someone please tell me the difference between google indexing and google ranking?
When your website is indexed, it means Google is able to add your pages in the search results.
Google ranking is your position in the search results for specific terms (keywords) people type in.

One of my websites has been indexed and the other hasn't
If your site is indexed, your articles are already rankings, but very low in the search results.
That's because your site is new. Google will just rank you well when you have lots of content.
I think the first time Google ranked my article on the first page, I already had over 30 posts. It's normal.

I have been finding images by searching on Google images but, people have said my images look blurred and poor quality

Try Pixabay.
I use them for all of my images, and you can use Canva to make a nice header :-)
