Sober Me, 2019
Changes
I was a member on Wealthy Affiliate since 2016. Sweet 16 was a year that alcohol took over my life and it has was a roller coaster ever since. The reason why I want to live a clean, sober lifestyle is to live up to my potential, earn a living with my career, and become a real man.
I've always had a keen sense of intellect since I was younger. Honor roll student all throughout elementary and middle school. Distractions retarded my growth throughout high school. Weapons of mass distractions are real. This was video games, fatty foods, and X-rated videos online. It's one of the reasons why getting online was a hard thing for me to do. I gained so much weight, esteem was near a zero, and my grades were D's and F's. I never knew how much of an impact it would have on me as I grew older but here we are. All my failure is sipped away in a bottle of bitter-sweet, American Honey. My potential has not been tapped into, because I have not searched within my heart and soul for it. 2019, is a year I promise to tap into my fullest potential. I can do that by following my God, and listening to my Holy Spirit. The truth shall set me free.
Job: Just. Obey. Business. Well I have been working ever since 2007. McDonalds, Bob Evans, Burger King, and Wal-Mart! Career? Never have I ever been so lost with my career. I went to school for criminal justice in 2013 and guess what? I never finished it because I seen corruption within the criminal justice system. Just as corrupt as Mexico's government. What have I done? Recently in 2018, I re-enrolled in school seeking a Bachelors Degree in English w/ an emphasis in professional writing. I am becoming more career driven in seeking my degree related profession and building a business behind it. I feel as if I'm on the right track.
What does a man do? He takes ownership, responsibility, and awareness of his life. A boy has to be told what to do, how to do it, and even needs a grown up to hold his hand. A boy cannot lead a nation, or kingdom into freedom! Man must know who he is, his strengths and weaknesses and work hard to get what he wants. Becoming a man before the worlds eyes is redemption to my soul. All the vices and strongholds will be shed through the grace of God if I remain sober, vigilant, and focused.
2019 is my year. Living up to my potential, living my career, and turning a boy to a man is what I promise! The booze, porn, and procrastination have got to go y'all. Control is a strategic game that the enemy knows how to play well. I'm ready to fight the adversary with the help of my God so let's get it baby! I pray for y'all, so I hope y'all pray for me. Time to take ownership of my LIFE!
