Subscribers and what to do with them!

Hi fellow WA'ers,

I have a question! Nothing new there then!

I have been getting subscribers sign up at my website, 79 of them so far! I assume they are signing up via the rss feed ( but am not sure :-0 ), the thing is...what am I supposed to do with them, if anything!

All comments and suggestions are very welcome and actively sought!

Many thanks

Greg

Hi Greg not a bad problem to have, what do you mean by RSS that's a new one on me?

Hi Dave,
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, as I understand it when people sign up for the RSS feed, they get a notification whenever I post a new page or post.

Look on your "general settings" page in your dashboard and see if the "anyone can register" button is checked. Uncheck it if it is.

Thanks again Stacy, I've switched off that function now until I am ready for them!
Greg

Are you talking about subscribers to your list

or subscribers registering in your website?

1

Stacy, these are people registering on my website, I'll go uncheck the relevant box untill I'm ready for them lol
Thanks for your input

Greg

No problem :)

Hey Greg,

First, good job on getting people to sign up. That' a big step!

You always want to nurture your list. Keep them engaged with helpful and useful information, resources, links, etc. You should really do this ahead of time as most of the major autoresponders will let you schedule what you send. Set up at least 20 or 30 autoresponder messages and send some broadcasts in between.

I like to try and keep a ratio of at least 4 to 1 non sales to sales ratio email ratio as that helps develop trust with your list. You could go even higher if you want.

Remember that you can also send them content from here at WA, blog posts, training modules, etc. Just make sure you include the link with your affiliate id when you do that.

Best Regards,
Jim

Thanks for that Jim, I hadn't really expected this, so I'm going to disable the function allowing people to register to my site until I get those autoresponder messages set up. But will have to enter these subscribers details manually or is there a way, that when they register on my site that they automatically get enrolled into my aweber autoresponder?
Again many thanks
Greg

Hey Greg, I know AWeber has a way. I am not sure about the other majors. Usually when one implements a feature the others follow suit. Here is a link to how to do that:
