Let me ask you a few questions... what's the focus of your Wealthy Affilite blog? What's the purpose? What are you trying to accomplish with it?

Have you even thought about it?

Let's explore this discussion by first considering these topics:

  1. You need to understand the guidelines Wealthy Affiliate has set for your blog...
  2. You need to determine your blog's audience...
  3. You need to decide on the goals for your blog...
  4. You need to set a writing schedule and stick to it...

Spam Is A No No...

Wealthy Affiliate has a very strict policy concering promoting through you WA Blog... you can't do it... period!

Here is a link to a training page that was shared with me... I think it will be very to you.

You don't want to put your business in jeopardy by breaking the rules... right?

Here's that link... Spam is a No No

What's The Point?

So if you can't promote yourself, your products, or your business, what's the point?

Let's answer that question by first considering this: Who are you writing to... who's your audience?

Your audience is NOT the customers and prospects for your primary business... whatever that may be.

I believe your Wealthy Affiliate blog should target two groups of people...

1. You need to be helping other Wealthy Affiliate affiliates with marketing tips and motivation... remember that these might well include members who you have brought into the WA platform yourself... helping them succeed results in secure future commissions.

2. You need to also be promoting Wealthy Affiliate to possible future Wealthy Affiliate members.

I got his advice from another Wealthy Affiliate member who was kind enough to explain it to me...

"When you write a blog post on your WA blog, it can get ranked in Google. If someone reads your post and decides to join WA, they will be registered with your WA affiliate link automatically.

The link in your WA post is automatic, and if someone finds your post in Google who is not a member of WA, once they start reading it a pop up will appear asking them if they want to join WA."

See what I'm talking about?

Setting Your WA Blog Goals

So, when we have determined the audience for our blog, the goals become self evident...

Choose blog topics that help and motivate other Wealthy Affiliate members...

...or write about the Wealthy Affiliate platform itself, explaining the benefits and features it can offer those who may be considering joining us here.

Set A Consistent Blogging Schedule

Once you have all of these concepts in place, you must then set a consistent blogging schedule... and stick to it.

Besides my WA Blog, I am personally maintaining four different websites, and there's only so much time in the day available for each site. So, I write two blog post articles each day to go on my websites, six days a week. I also write 2-3 emails each day to broadcast to my email lists.

You are not allowed to post the articles you write for your WA Blogs on any other site... so my current focus is to post 1-2 times each week on my WA Blog.

I also post on other marketing sites as well, so I do a LOT of writing.

That's what is working for me... you need to work on setting your own blogging schedule.

I hope this helps...

Happy Marketing,

Greg Ray
