If you think you can or you think you can't then either way; you are right

That statement I heard a long time ago and can't remember who actually said it but it is very much true. I have learned over time that your mind will make whatever you convince it to do. You talk broke, lack of funds, can't do this, can't do that then your mind is a funny thing it protects you and will give you what you stated. Your mind will not go against you. It took me over 40 years to begin to understand that. I remember when I was in my early 20 that I attend a meeting and two things that haunt me to this day. One was that people decide to be broke and poor. The other was what will you tell your grandkids why you are broke? The first one made me mad because I come from a home where my father was gone and my mother was on welfare (government assistance for those that don't know). I remember in that meeting that I didn't decide to be poor and broke. I was attending school to better myself and as I was taught get a good education and you will get a good job with a good company then life would be better.

What I didn't realize that I had a lot of good-minded people telling me things like you can't do that or this you need money to start that. My focus was on getting in a better position in life. While I was attending school and working a minimum wage job, I lost the job and all my bills became overdue. I was to make a decision of continuing school or accepting a job in the steel mill sweeping the floor for $15 an hour. That sounded very tempting but I pushed on thru school and rejected the offer because I couldn't do both. The week after I graduated school the steel mill started laying off workers and I would have been the first to go.

I said all this to let everyone that reads this know that your mind will carry you where you want to. Let your inner self control the outer world around you instead of the outer world taking the wheels of your life and driving you crazy.
