My First Big Scare!!!

Well so to speak!

To start off we are having a bit of a snow storm here and the wireless isn't working so well. Pages loading slow things like that. I live in the boonies so have to run off of a wireless hotspot. I've been at this for 45 days now. I have my website up and so far so go. Learning as I go. Just like we all are. But having fun at it also. As I was editing my favorite page.......

I do have to pause and throw some credit out real quick. I had been going at this for about a week or so and had nothing happening with my first page. I was plugging away on it and nothing happening at all.Meaning Google ranking that sort of thing. Then I came across That Helpful Dudes's blog (Luke) titled WordPress Complete Set Up Guide. I read it, Followed it step by step and 2 days afterwards I was on the first page of Google. I'm sure I didnt have my site set up right in the first place but his tutorial got my site rolling. Since then I have added a few things and some tweaks. So thanks Luke for the tutorial.

Well back to the original post. Lol! As you can tell I get side tracked easily.

So I was editing my page hit the update button and it sat there and sat there. Then poof, half of my page was gone!. I almost died right there on the spot. Frantic and a few choice words I gathered myself back up a bit and jumped on live chat. How Do I Recover My Lost Page? or something to that effect. The first response I received was from Carson. A couple of messages back and forth and he directed me to where WordPress saves the revised versions of our pages. Click on screen options when your on your page and check the revisions box. I restored my page and was very grateful and relieved. I just couldn't imagine having to start over.

I already knew Wealthy Affiliate was a great community and the people here will go out of their way to help you. I am very impressed with this site. I have had the chance to speak with Kyle on chat before and Carson saved the day today for sure. There isn't any site that I know of with the support that we have here at Wealthy Affiliate. The two founders of this community will take the time to chat with you and help save your butt when things happen. I want to thank Carson again and another thank you to Luke with his tutorial. There are plenty others I should thank as well but there are just so many I will just throw out a blanket thank you to the whole community.

My little bit of advice, if you have a problem or get stumped get on live chat and ask. Someone will come to the rescue.

Well I need to get back at it. I enjoy it!
