First Site up and running. Jesus.bio
Hi guys, Just thought I'd let you know that I've built my first Wealthy Affiliate site. The only way I am making money right now is through selling my books. Right now you can get the books through a link in my first blog post. I plan on adding a link to the book site in the side bar but have not yet decided where I will put it.
Although I am new to Wealthy Affiliates and Wordpress, I have had much success with web site design in the past. Back in the early days of the Internet I won the International Association of Web Masters and Designers Golden Web Award for the best site on the Internet in my category, four times. Three years in a row, 1999-2000, 2000-2001, 2001-2002 skipped a year and won again in 2003-2004. I mention this to say that I am not a total newbie.
Which brings me to the point of this post. My new web site is http://Jesus.bio I mention this as it is not a dot com. Many marketing experts will tell you that a dot com is the only way to go. I used to agree with them but the new domain extensions are fascinating. There are so many of them and each applies to its own niche. .pet, .attorney, .finance and so on. I don,t know when and\or if these will ever beat out a dot com but content is king and a five letter domain name is priceless. Even if only for self promotion. Your people will know your site and promotion with a five letter domain name couldn't get any simpler.
So check out Godaddy and see what domain name extensions are available in you niche. You might be pleasantly surprised. And remember content is king. Provide quality content and you will be found.

Good job on your site and the .bio instead of .com that is more of a preference I think haha. I prefer the .com just to keep original haha
Thanks for the feedback. I am not sure about ha ha though. Can't tell if it's funny ha ha or Sarcastic ha ha. Thanks and if you get a chance do a search for some real quality names at godaddy. They will give you a list and list many of the domain extensions that are available. Be warned however there seem to be hundreds of new domain niche extensions.
