MY WA Journey (so far...)

Last Update: March 31, 2014

Hi, everyone. I just wanted to quickly share the progress that I've made as a Wealthy Affiliate member. I joined on March 23rd, just a little over a week ago. I am so happy that I did. One of my goals is to become self employed, and I have tried a few avenues that turned out to be dead ends. Many of you on here know how frustrating that is. I continued to research work from home ventures, and have found two very promising opportunities. Wealthy Affiliates is one of them.

How did I hear about WA?

I first heard of WA from Steve on "I've tried that". I remember feeling a bit skeptical as I clicked on the link that he provided for WA. However, something kept telling me to keep an open mind. (Before I did, I went to other sites to see what the online community said about WA. I was further assured that it is legit). I began the training by Kyle and was surprised by how in depth it was. I was able to follow along, and by the last free session, I was scrambling to convert to premium status.

What are you doing now?

I am currently building a website called: The Healthy Guinea Pig (thehealthyguineapig.com). It's a site about healthy eating. One of the bonuses to learning how to properly set up a website, is that I am able incorporate my other interests. For instance, I now have an excuse to really learn how to use my camera. I'm taking pictures, filming and editing videos to jazz up my posts. It's great.

My goals

My goal is to be self employed. I am pursuing a second work from home position, and I am hoping that my work at WA will help to fund that. If I make enough to live off through my WA website, that would be great. I would love to have two successful work from home businesses one day. I really enjoy the amazing community support from the other members. I believe that through that continued support, and my consistent hard work; that I will be able to achieve my goals.

Okay...wrap it up

I would like to thank all of those who have offered their help, and feedback so far. I would also like to thank those who are following me, and have added me to their Google+. Finally, I would like to wish everyone at Wealthy Affiliates a successful journey as you all pursue your goals.

keep pushing,

Meghan

Good luck! My goal is to have 2 work from home businesses too. I'm really enjoying this journey so far and learning so much. Are you making YouTube videos? I was going to link the two together once I started adding content to my website.

Hi, Latrice. Good luck on your ventures as well. I am making YouTube videos, but I make them unlisted. That way, they won't turn up on a Youtube search. After that I embed them onto WordPress. As far as I know, WordPress will only accept YouTube videos. It's not a difficult process, although it can be a bit time consuming waiting for the videos to upload. And it's rewarding to see your hard work in action.
