I've seen a questions about this so thought I'd share as i go.

Here is a quick tutorial to set up your menu so that it's nice and tiday.

When setting up a menu it takes a lot of trial and error to make it look and feel right. So it's a great idea to pick up tips from others that have gone through this already.

The first step is to work on your category list. Do a bit of a mind dump on a piece of paper and think of a name for 3 to 4 category names that all your current posts would fit into. This will do for now as you can always edit this a bit later as your site posts increase.

Go to POSTS and Categories and add these to your category list.

You then go into your menu settings.

Select the MENU you want to edit. Let's focus on your Main Menu.

Now to start with, create a link for each of your catagoties.

these will appear as your menu to the right. Drag and drop these in the order you want your menu to be in.

Now to build structure

Starting with one of your categories create a link to each post that relates to that category. These will appear at the bottom in the menu box again to the right.

To set up the structure drag the first post up the screen and it will move into the menu. Keeping hold of the post still, drag it under the category link it relates to. Once its under it drag it slightly to the right and let go.

You will see this post is now slightly indent to the right hand side.

Now drag the others post one by one that relate to this same category and drag it under the first post that you placed. When you let go your will see all the posts together all indented to the right. All these posts will now be under this category in the menu when you check your site.

You can then repeat this for each of the categories.

Tidy menu

You can now easily create a tier system for your menu this way which makes for a nice clean and tidy site.

As you start creating posts that fall into a category of one of these posts already in your menu. You can then drag these posts under the post that is like a parent post and then drag again to the right. This now creates a secondary tier of the menu and keeps you menu nice and tidy.

I hope this helps you with your site menu too.

Great to be on this journey with you.
