We have all been there. You are writing content and creating your article then you start looking for images before you publish but you just can't find an image that works for your article with paying for one.

Sometimes finding an image can be difficult so there is another option.

You can create one yourself. The benefit to making your own is you can now start creating unique images, You can also create a style of images that is unique to you site.

I can't remember how I found this site but I had used it years ago and forgot about it. When I remembered and went back it has been updated and even easier to use. It very easy to use and anyone can use this site.

The site is called Snappa - https://snappa.com/app (It doesn't have a referral system) and is a very versatile site to use for making images.

Its has 35 style templates already set up with the sizes you will need.

  • Social media posts
  • Blogs and infographics
  • Header banners and profile pages
  • Social and displays ads

These templates have set sizes that cover all the images sizes you need for all the main apps use for YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitch, Zoom and emails.

It even add overlays where it knows profile photos overlap images so you know not to put important information in this positions so it doesn't get covered.

Once you pick the image size you need it then gives you the options to start with a clean sheet from scratch so you can build anything you want or it gives you hundreds and hundreds of predesigned images you can then tweak and change to use for your site.

You can add writing as headers or normal fonts, add icons, select any if its free images or you can also upload your own images to add to your images.

It has all the required features you need like layers allowing you to bring forward and move back, cloning layers so you can duplicate layers.

It also has a great lining up feature so you know where the centre is and also helps you line up parts the images.

It has a FREE account that everyone can use if your just doing a couple of images. You can name and save your designs so you can edit then later for other posts allowing you to reuse the style. You can then download at different qualities.

If you end up using it a lot like I do then the paid account isn't expense either.

You can literally make an image for your site in minutes once you get the swing of it.

Personally I think this would be a great addition to WA for us all to use if Kyle and Carlson were able to buy this company and bolt it into WA. :)

I hope you find it as useful as I do.

Great to be on this journey with you all

Graham :)

Thank you, Graham. I am going to give this one a try.

Several months ago, I purchased a couple of blocks of photos, equalling 200 total, for a really good price from Deposit Photo based on a recommendation of @01Jason. It is nice to have this one to use in a pinch. I used a few Adobe products but found them tedious and time-consuming. They require more of a learning curve which can distract from quality content creation. I am always looking for something easier to use.

Good luck to you!

Regards, Matt

Thanks for the share, Graham. Sounds a little like Canva.

Maxine

Yeah I find it easier and faster to use than Canva

Some good stuff here, Graham! Thank you!

Your welcome. I love the site so thought worth sharing.

I think so too, my friend!

Jeff

Great info Mike! I have heard about Snappa but, haven't tried it out yet!

I mainly use Canva as the other commentators here do, but... I have been playing around with Adobe Firefly recently and the results are not bad!

Appreciate the share my friend! :-)

Cool I’ll have to check that out too.

Do that buddy and let me know what you think ok!!

It sounds similar to Canva, Graham.

I make most of my own images due to the nature of my niche.
