My experience thus far with affiliate marketing

After going through Level 1 training, I thought I was ready to delve into the affiliate marketing world. Little did I know that Level 1 is meant to be only a starting point that enables you to register a website and motivate you to seek further training on the ‘nuts-and-bolts’ of affiliate marketing. After 4 months of fumbling in the dark, I realized I needed to upgrade to Premium; since I needed more information and training on my chosen line of business. And how dead right I was!

Niche

My business niche is Ladies Fashion i.e. ladies clothes, shoes and other accessories.

Successes

The only notable achievement I realised before upgrading to Premium was to connect with a number of advertisers through affiliate networks such as Commission Junction and Admitad. However, I experienced a major setback when it came to driving traffic to my website that wasn’t properly optimised.

The few impressions and occasional clicks I got would be through my friends on Facebook, who probably go there to while time away and never to buy anything. Although I ended up joining many Facebook groups and spent long hours posting links to my affiliate stores, I never realized a sale due to the same reason mentioned above.

After upgrading to Premium on 6 April and moving through the lessons in Level 2, I have already seen tremendous changes in a space of only 2 weeks. Not only have I learnt how to write SEO-friendly blogs that drives traffic to my website but have also improved my ranking within WA from 148 900 to 57 580 as of 22 April 2019. I have also learnt how to stick pictures on my blogs in order for them to look great.

After upgrading, I have witnessed ever-increasing numbers of impressions and clicks on my website. And although I have not yet recorded any sales, I know that it’s just a matter of time.

My Goals in the next 3 months

• To complete all the training levels (1-5).
• To attend live webinars.
• To continue writing more posts relevant to my niche.
• To build 3 more websites from level 1-5.
• To continue content writing for all my websites.
