How To Have Belief In Yourself
“Believe you can and you’re halfway there.” Theodore Roosevelt
You have the all important deadline. Your boss is breathing down your neck, and you cannot seem to keep motivated. This has happened at least once to all of us. The pressures to succeed and the amount of money it takes to live comfortably keep us grinding away to make ends meet. It can take a toll on you. At the end of the day, you have to look in the mirror, and realize if it is about to happen you have to belief in yourself to take action.
It's been said that to have success one must believe in themselves first.
What happens if you lose belief in yourself because of a trauma like a tragic loss of a loved one, divorce, loss of employment, or business failure?
Success breeds more success and failure breeds more failure.
What do you do if you are heading the wrong direction and you stop believing in yourself?
You must have an action plan to help you get back on track.
Here are 4 steps to help you today
Find a WA friend or member that supports you no matter what
People by nature are social beings. We were meant to be supported by people that love us. Find a person that can be your go to for emotional and spiritual support. A person that will not judge you or put you down. Someone that uplifts you and puts you in a better mood. Not someone that is always putting you down.
Find someone here at WA that always motivates and encourages people. Follow them and it will encourage you because they will post positive messages throughout the week.
Rely on experiences when you had belief in yourself
Think back in your past when things were going as planned, and everything fell into place. For me it was traveling overseas when I was 16 years old, or when I drove for the first time. Those were positive moments when I believed highly in myself.
Example
Think back about a memory when you had a first. What were you doing? Who were you with? Write down what was important to you when you were able to accomplish something for the first time.
Boost your confidence
List out 5 positive attributes that you have.
List out 5 to 10 positive I am statements about yourself:
