What is the downside to working at home?

Hi WA awesome members.

How many of you are really doing your work from home? Building contents, learning the lessons and all the website's stuff.

Most of my time is at home and I got easily distracted doing other chores. It's not easy to sit down and do my website's stuff.

At best now, I'm trying to upkeep my momentum with the premium plus+ WA gurus, attending their trainings.

Wondering if I need an office outside home or should I close the kitchen area.

What would you recommend?

Looking forward to your insights.

It certainly is not easy. If you had a lot of space it would be great to designate a room as your office. That's what we have done and it is idea.

But that luxury is not always available. so the next thing is to find a place where you have enough room for your computer and pad of paper and pencil.

The ideal is to set aside specific times of the day for your online business and remove snacks. Discover what helps you to be most productive. Most of us need goals to achieve.

When interest or motivation wanes search for a website in your niche and get some ideas. Thin=k of ways you can "do better". This will get your mental juices flowing.

You are so very welcome.

Working from home can be a challenge especially if you have children. I myself am still trying to iron things out so unfortunately, Norleila I can't be of much assistance.

But I can tell you what I do because I not only work from home but do school from home too. So I myself try to get up earlier than the rest of my family or I'll work after everyone has laid down. I also take small breaks and write here and there.

I figured it is better to take a few days to write an article than do absolutely nothing. I don't watch TV much so I replace TV watching with training videos. And while I'm cleaning or cooking I put my headphones in and I listen and watch training videos.

I know it's a bit much but sometimes we have to find what works best for us. I would recommend trying to take breaks and write a paragraph or two.

Need to start writing and follow the trainings.

Thanks Kisha for sharing your tips.

Some days I am super focused; other days I can't focus for anything, and everything distracts me. So I know what you are saying.

I think reading Partha's blogs (and his comments to me and others) is what helped me the most. Breaking things down, using a timer, committing to writing a certain amount of words (like 250), taking breaks, and spending 90% of your time doing the one thing that will help your business. For me, it's writing content. Most days I can write more than 250 words.

I remember Kyle talking about changing your environment up such as going to a coffee shop to work. I don't know if that would work for me, but I know it does for lots of people.

I hope you can figure out what works for you, Norleila.

Sorry to here that distractions are stymying your progress. I am often faced with the same. Disheartening, isn’t it?

Well, in my opinion, there are several things you can try. First, set a block of time and location to work. If that does not help, venture to a quiet place that has internet from which you can work.

In addition, I recently learned to chip away at in small bites. I have faith that you will create an opportunity to reach your goals.
