Periscope Sessions: How To Gain Leads Through Periscope

Periscope is the future.

To anyone that hasn't used Periscope to promote their brand and connect with potential customers, I would advise you do so.

We hosted a session last night which was only due to be about 15 minutes just as a bit of fun - it ended up wrapping up after 1.5 hours. What a session.

We had continuous engaged viewers throughout who were all interacting with us, asking questions and showing the love through "double tapping" the screen which on Periscope, produces hearts which is the equivalent of a "like" on an Instagram post or Facebook post etc.

The best part about this session was that we were being completely transparent. When reaching out to your audience and trying to sell products or services, the first thing people tend to do is try hit home with a hard sale. This is not the way to build trust with your potential buyers and could come back and bite you in the ass if those that follow through, don't find what they were hoping to find when you forced them into purchasing your products or services.

Instead, we only spoke about what our online business was when people asked, and most of the time we were speaking about why we do it, and how it benefits us. People like to see you being yourself. They want real, raw information that they can trust. We spoke about our journey, our plans and how awesome our products and services are for us and how it has helped many others within our community. Our audience were inspired by the determination and focus of us young driven entrepreneurs and left us some great feedback - plus having a few that liked what they saw, and signed up to our mailing list to get started on their training.

The next best thing about this session was that we reached out only to those that were in the same mindset, that were willing to show an interest in changing their lives for the better - we managed to reach the perfect target audience.

Why not give it a shot? We are going to make it a frequent task as we have had a lot of interest in doing our next session.

If you are running out of money for paid ads or running a business on a shoe string, take advantage of social media marketing. Periscope = Free and we gained leads.

Another thing people love about video and about live broadcasting like Periscope is that it's like 1-to-1 conversing. People can comment and get questions answered whilst seeing your true colours. Sometimes this is difficult to do when running a paid ad like Google Adwords for example and if it's a text ad because they don't really know what they're signing up for.

So what I want you to take from this post is to always be yourself and be transparent with your audience when engaging. Make them feel special and build up a trust. They will be more likely to sign up to your services from there on as they can see how genuine you and your business truly is.
