I did it, I'm jumpin' in!

I just joined Premium this evening and hope for my family and self to reap the rewards. I look forward to learning more and building a successful business so I can spend more time with my family and get my wife out of a miserable job. I am still confused about how to accomplish all of this but am putting my trust and efforts into the hands of Wealthy Affiliate.

My first goal

The first thing I would like to accomplish is to understand how all of this works. I have a general understanding of affiliate marketing and have even used sites like Ebates (now Rakuten) to save a small percentage on the items I was buying. My guess is this works by sharing the affiliate commission with either a marketer or the company itself to get a discount on merchandise. I hope to have a good understanding within the next 30 days.

Goal number 2

The second goal I hope to accomplish is to generate some income. Initially I am not worried about an amount, but would love to see something so I know it this is working. Seeing some income would also be a proof of concept, meaning that I am doing something right. Within in this 2nd goal I'd like to include to recoup my investment. When this happens I will feel as if I have not wasted my efforts. In many ways this will be my first win and the time when I can claim my first victory. I hope to accomplish this in the first 120 days.

Taking the driver's seat

After claiming my first victory of recouping my initial investment, I will not slow down. Having this proof of concept and now playing with the house's money will only motivate me to do more. The new goal will be to work the program so that I am self-employed and driving down the road to financial independence. It is my dream to take back my life and share more time with loved ones. Additionally, I have always wanted to give more time, money, and resources to those less fortunate. Being able to accomplish these goals would be a dream come true.
