Hey Glen .com sites index really well in Google. One of the reasons, is that you purchased a domain name, it shows Google that you are serious with your site. I would suggest really working on your dot com site and adding content there.

I don't know why your siterubix site isn't index as those sites rank well too. The only reason I could come up with is that maybe you haven't published your pages yet?

Another reason is that pages do take longer to rank than posts. You do want to do both, but you mainly want to do posts because they do rank faster. The down side to posts is they are dated and may not last as long in the search engines as a page would.

Pages are more for evergreen content, meaning that they are not dated information and could stay ranked once your page index. It could be in the number one spot for years to come.

I know this is a lot of info to take in, there are strategies in doing both. WA will teach you all that Especially Jay's training. He does a great job about evergreen content and strategies on how monetize and leverage evergreen content. You can look at this when you're ready too, I don't want to overload you with info. Lol It will come into play when the time comes. :)

Thank you very much for your explanation and the training link...you rock!

In haste to get my page out there I selected a page as my "home" page in wordpress but now that I have my site building out and shaping up I feel different page would be better

Go to Appearance then choose Customize. Then choose Static Front Page from the list of options. You will then be able to choose a different page for your site.

Thank You Thischick...you nailed it. Now when I click on my title page it directs to the page I wanted...:)

Good to hear you got it fixed Glen. Cheers

If you change the URL or any page or post it will surely mess up your Google ranking.

That said, I am not sure you can change your "home page".

Maybe someone else will chime in with more detailed info for you.

You could also open a support ticket and they may be able to help you out. You can do this by going to Site Rubix, then Site Support.

ROCK ON!

He doesn't want to change his URL he just wants to change his Static home page. Easy fix that doesn't harm anything.
