First Sale!

Hello WA Family! What an amazing day! Today I was reviewing some account information on Clickbank when I noticed something strange. I thought it was an extra payment that was due, but it seemed so unusually large for my membership fee.

As I investigated, it turned out it was a sale! My site had its first sale on July 25th and I didn't even know it! Those of you who have following me know that I have been focused on creating and verifying my content vs trying to get traffic to my site.

So, as you can imagine, I was totally surprised and thrilled to realize someone had not only visited my site, but found the information useful and made a subsequent purchase!

The really encouraging thing about this sale is that it's from a link that is embedded in the very last sentence in the very last paragraph. So someone had to read through the entire page, find it informative and make the connection between my information and the product. Fantastic!

As I thought about it today, I realized that the following steps had to occur:

• Someone found the page through a search (Google or otherwise)
  
• Found the title interesting enough to click on it
  
• Remained on the site long enough to read through the information
  
• Navigate to the page they found most informative
  
• Read the relevant page through to the end
  
• Click on the associated link and make a purchase
  

I may be over-simplifying, but it's still amazing and very encouraging to find that my approach may actually be working. I'm still finishing up my content and hope to be finished by the end of the month at which time I can start working on product reviews and actually blogging.
