I have purchased Optimise Press and added it to Wordpress. The trouble is that I do not seem able to allow comments on my webpage. Does anyone have any ideas, please?
How can I allow comments when using optimise press?

Im thinking ahead. Im trying to build a following, using links from Twitter, though I havent had any luck there at all. Actually, if anyone can give me pointers there, that would b
A slow boat with a lot of work. It takes time to get traffic this way and it's OK if you have it. Personally I prefer to pay for traffic and use my time for site building, content creation, and email blasts.
I have 800 followers on Pinterest. I posted over 150 pictures. Of those, about 20 were"re-pinned" 96 times in one month (my first month). It generated 4 people going to my web site. Patience is the key. Also, remember that those pictures are out there forever now, so who knows how many will circulate in the future!
Thanks for that. With Twitter then, should I be repeating my tweets again and again? How many repeats are too many?
Good question. I have never been on twitter and is probably the last social media site I will add to my website, if ever. It may because I have not been on it (I have been on all of the others). Don't know. It seems like a lot of extra constant work when content on your site is more important, but again, I have not been on it.
Hi Donna. I have Pinterest but only have 2 followers. What can I do to attract more followers?
Also, is your Pinterest set up as personal account with your name? Or is it set up as business? Mine is personal, but I'm not sure if it's better to change it to business.
Thanks for your help. -Tina
Find people to follow on Twitter in your niche area and you will get responses back. Post your articles on Twitter and FB. It is a process and takes time.
Yeah social media is definitely a great way to advertise your site, especially if you have a lot of friends or followers. Good luck!
What if you don't have many friends?! Lol. I don't have many people I can ask to 'like' me. Can I still make a success out of something like Facebook? And what is Pinterest about?
"Pinterest is a visual bookmarking tool that helps you discover and save creative ideas." You can share those ideas with others and if they like what you shared then they will most likely add you to their circle, you could build followers this way, but it will take time and it can be frustrating. Facebook is also another method, but can be very personal and you might get some negative or discouraging remarks back, so I would be extremely cautious. The best way is probably here at WA, which is in my opinion and a lot of others' as well, the ultimate facebook. You can build your own hub here and help other people out who will then be more than happy to return the favor by helping you out as well. This is probably the easiest method. Twitter, Google +, and all those other social media sites might take you a little longer. But that's just my opinion

Someone said that you can activate an email form on your wordpress blog, but I can't find it.
Hi on an older WP site a created about 2 years ago and on many of the older WP sites there was a Follow button that asked for your email and the list was kept within WP. All new blogs were auto sent to the email list.
However I see the 4-5 templates I have used here dont seem to have this widget available. Not sure if WP has phased it out due to all the new email list systems or if there is a plug-in now. Have you tried searching for a plug-in? When I have a mo I will look for one too.

Thanks Marion, but is there not a way of adding a simple sign up box on your main website rather than creating separate webpages? Shouldn't my website (if its worth anything) be of enouigh value to encourage people to put their email address?
You DO need to offer something of value in exchange for email addresses. How often have you given out your email address with no added incentive?
I am still preparing my site to be honest. What would you suggest as a good thing to offer in return for their email address if I am in the home business niche? I must admit I am curious whether I could build a list with simply the power of my website. Lol. Maybe Im being unrealistic. If you've been around longer obviously I'll have to bow to your experience, but it is an interesting question. I have given my email address to various schemes which I have not even looked past the introduction page which begs the question whether I am a good person to email on a regular basis with future offers the people who were selling it.
Follow this link: freeandcheapebooks.com/indigital to find some free eBooks with resell rights and permission to use for building a list. There are lots of them in your niche.
Mail Chimp has a free autoresponder up through a certain number of addresses, then they begin charging. All the other ARs worth using charge from day one. Several free ARs are around, but they have their negatives.
If you're in the U.S., use AWeber. In the U.K., use Get Response. If you don't expect to get more than 500 members on a mailing list, use Mail Chimp.
Is there a sign-up box I can activate on wordpress and then connect to something like mailchimp for free?
You will have to signup with a autoresponder like aweber for a monthly fee. Or social monkey for free.
