Sharing Google Adsense Experience
Last Update: September 03, 2017
After a few frustrating moments I've finally managed to get Google AdSense on my website.
Why has this been a frustrating experience?
Firstly, the information on WA has been all over the place and a little hard to follow (that is info has not been centralised for this specific topic) and secondly, there has been suggestions to add another plugin...the latter is an issue if our plugins are already at the recommended limit of 5!
So in light of this I was hoping some of the WA community could share their positive experiences so that we could condense the information on this one post when other WA members are searching for help on loading Google AdSense.
Appreciate your help and wish you a great week ahead!
Cheers Gina

Congratulations on getting that code on your site!
I 'lost' my Adsense account many years ago, so I can not EVEN remember any real successes with it!

I wouldn't worry about the recommended limit of 5 plugins, it's just a guideline for newcomers, to stop them going mad and installing everything in sight! :)
It's actually the individual load any one plugin places on your site, not the number of plugins in total. I have over 100 on mine without any issues!! You can check this out by installing yet another plugin, P3 https://wordpress.org/plugins/p3-profiler/ which will identify any resource hogs.
In regard to Adsense, I recommend members install the Header > Footer plugin. https://wordpress.org/plugins/header-footer/ and then go to Settings > Header & Footer and insert the Adsense verification code into the Head Section injection panel.
I'd then suggest using another plugin, either Ad Inserter https://wordpress.org/plugins/ad-inserter/ or WP Quads https://wordpress.org/plugins/quick-adsense-reloaded/ to manage your ads.
Nate has done some great training on using Ad Inserter here: How To Use The Ad Inserter Plugin You might also want to consider Adsense Invalid Click Protector to stop click bombs. https://wordpress.org/plugins/ad-invalid-click-protector/
