Out of the loop.
Hi WA Friends,
Just a quick note to say I have been out of the loop for a while because of an illness. Highly manageable, but it has taken some time to identify and treat the trouble.
I have fallen behind in every area of my life because of it. Home, work, blog, etc.
I can't imagine I will ever get caught up.
I know many of you can identify with this dilemma.
Finally, the fog is lifting and my energy is returning. I am actually headed out for a walk to get some much needed exercise and sunlight!
I am just so glad I finally know what the problem is because I was blaming myself for just being lazy. Now I understand the reason why I have been so tired and unable to focus.
It is unimaginable to me to think of what our disabled, veterans and elderly go through dealing with doctors and institutions.
I have been complaining to my general doctor for at least a year about my health and her response was that maybe I was depressed and should see a therapist!
It turns out there has been an underlying medical problem all along. I just want to slap her so maybe I do need some anger management therapy.:)
I hope all of you are doing well. I have missed being active here at WA.
I am going to work on getting back in the loop.
Thanks for reading!
~Gina

Good luck, Gina, with the forward progress.
Don't be frustrated with the slow recovery! This is what is see in my daughter in a similar circumstance.!
Rest, eat well, and give your body the chance to heal!

I need anger management when I think about the majority of drs and their behavior as well. I have a friend that believes everything they say "because they're drs" We argue a lot. :-) So, I understand. You're back though and have the issue resolved. You can do it. ~Debbi
The specialist that diagnosed me had a worse disposition than my general practitioner. He did not appreciate that I asked questions and his staff was rude too. Honestly, I wanted to ask the guy what drug he was on because he was so hyper, but at least he figured out the problem. ~Gina
Perhaps the doctor has now taken you for granted, you need another one with fresh outlook. Wish you a speedy recovery.
Hi Gina, good you are back! I thought I needed a break from WA, maybe a day or two. As it turned out I took 2 months off! Happy to see you back on the mend and feeling better. :) As for slapping your doctor around, I have a couple for ya if you're not too busy! :)
Best!
It may seem like you'll never get caught up. Four years is a long time to be "out of the loop" I was out for a year, almost two years, and it seemed at times as if I'd never get caught up. But I knew that if i didn't start somewhere, then five years form now, I'd still be sitting there thinking that I'll never get back n the loop and that five years was going to pass whether i did anything about it or not.
So welcome back to the loop, and let us know how we can help you catch up!
Hi Hal in Philly, 1 year for me, 4 years for poor Jude P.! I wouldn't have made it another year for almost 2 years like you! I appreciate the support.:) ~Gina
