Getting Paid To Sites and Why I am not a Fan

It's called GPT for short and includes sites like SwagBucks, InboxDollars, Paid Offers, I could go on and on. These are called GPT or get paid to sites. In my opinion, GPT sites don't offer any leverage. Most high earners on these sites earn a majority of their income from what their affiliates do, more than what they do on these sites. If you're not sharing and promoting your affiliate link then you are not capitalizing on the full potential of the GPT site opportunities. You have to invest a lot of sweat equity with little to no return. If you are interested in trying these out for yourself you can always Google, Get Paid to Search, watch videos, visit sites, view ads, fill out survey's, download and install apps. Try to avoid get paid to sites that give you points that you then have to convert to cash. Also be aware of the minimum amount you need in order to withdraw your fund. There is a site called Money4Task and Dollarnize which sets the minimum at $300. Please avoid these sites.

I agree with you Jumaane. There are better things to do with my time:))

Thanks for the warning.

Very informative. Thank you.

Many thanks, Jumaane,
Forewarned is forearmed...

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the information my friend

Great info, sir!

Having formerly been a member of SwagBucks as well as many online survey sites, (that is until I finally saw the light of day having wasted time that I'd never get back in my life); a person simply cannot think that spending a lot of time daily doing surveys, watching video/ads, downloading and installing apps to play games, etc. is going to put food on the table for a family of four or pay the household bills.

It just does not work that way, despite the promotions that are a part of these GPT sites. As part of the lie, these types of "money-making" sites all state otherwise as they attempt to lure naive people into becoming members.

There is also the fact regarding doing surveys that practically all of them have a set demographic profile of individuals that they are exclusively trying to get data from. Having started a particular survey opportunity, spending 10 or more minutes on it, if suddenly a person does not fit the intended demographic of that survey, without warning he/she would be disqualified. The final punch in the stomach would be that he/she would not earn credit. Or down the road any possible money.

Furthermore, the two sites that you mentioned late in your excellent article, "Money4Task" and "Dollarnize" setting their minimum payout levels at $300 minimum is ridiculous. People need to realize that they would spend weeks participating in these sites' various ventures before they would even come close to reaching that threshold.

As you advised, people need to avoid these types of sites if they are attempting to truly make money for themselves in various online ventures.

I agree wholeheartedly. GPT sites are nothing but the best way to waste your time. That is, unless you get dozens of referrals a day. But then, why not promote WA for MUCH higher commissions if you were getting that kind of traffic?

I have used many, many GPT sites and the only one even barely worth it is Swagbucks, and even then, in my opinion it is only worth it if you use it exclusively for their paid search engine, since searching is something you do anyway without pay. But even with that comes a caveat: their search engine is powered by Yahoo, so the search results will be very different, and of lesser quality than Google. In the end, that was enough for me to switch back to G - despite having earned nearly $20 in swag bucks (over a year-long period).

Thanks for sharing your opinion on here GPT sites. You can makes money with these types of sites but as you mentioned, it takes a lot of effort on your part and the pay out is minimal.

Thank you for this information! I've been using a few of these sites for almost a year and haven't gotten anything because most of the surveys know ck me out because I don't qualify. Guess I'm too honest with my answers.

Being honest is a good quality you should do well on your reviews
