I host elsewhere, but sometimes when I add images, it may give me the HTTP vs. https - to work around the issue, I go to Settings, General, and check if you have the website there as HTTP and change it to https, saving changes; you'd noticed you will get logged out.
Logging back in, I get it fixed. You may try that and see if it works.

Yes, this is a common request by affiliate networks (I see you are applying to Avantlink). It's a way to verify that you own and control your site. You don't have to keep this code on your site forever; it only needs to sit there long enough for the network to verify ownership. Normally that doesn't take more than a couple of days, and often less than 24 hours.
This may be theme dependent. This is how I do it.
Ask support to backup your system first
Go to your backend and find the appearance. Then select "theme file editor"
Look on the right, one of the options should be index.php
Paste the javascript at the bottom of the file Save it

I'm trying to determine if Lasso is a plug in worth using?
I use it, it is a little expensive but it works well. The reason I have it though is that it makes it very easy to flip a website with amazon links. The new owner then simply needs to update their amazon ID and all the links change over automatically.

I am using Lasso and it is a great plugin.
It is rather expensive, however, and the only reason I am using it is because of the whole Amazon situation that happened back in December.
Lasso saved me from having to manually change thousands of Amazon images with their one-click import.
I am enjoying the plugin and will continue using it.

Are pop up opt in plug ins effective? Does anyone have issues with opt ins?
Depending on their purpose, a pop-up may increase your bounce rates if presented immediately.
The best thing here is to test what works and what does not, one element at a time.
