Hi, when I am using a key word in the title of my post, do I have to use hyphens to split it from the rest of the title to get it picked up?
Also, if other keywords are used

Hi Geoffrey. Have your sentences specifically describe the page content. Choose a relevant keyword phrase, because words matching the search query are highlighted. To be on the right side, have your keywords not more than 160 characters including spaces. Don't use any keyword multiple times maximum of 2x.

Cheers!

Florentino

Thanks Florentine.

Welcome.

it is quite accepotable to have your targeted keyword as part of a longer title - in many cases it makes more sense that way.
It does not have to be hyphenated or highlighted in anyway.
Just be sure to use your keyword in the first paragraph - and if possible the first sentence.
Google will pick up several keywords in all posts - sometimes keywords you would never dream of. You don't need to do anything for this.
Concentrate on doing all the necessary SEO techniques for your one keyword only - Title, first paragraph, meta title, images etc. Googs will do the rest

That makes things a lot clearer. Thanks for your reply.
Regards.

hey hi Geoffrey & welcome to Wealthy Affiliate Premium!

Good question and all questions are good ones here....

Generally, it is recommended to use the keyword in the title and once, preferably within the first paragraph of your blog post ... suggest you keep moving onward & upward with your training and also check out Jay's awesome webinars as well for advanced sessions ... it comes with your WA Premium membership ...

All the best ... cheerio ... :)

Thanks for that
