Can You Tell Me What This Means?

I've been having this recurring dream.

And I wonder if YOU know what it means.

There's always some kind of school test and I'm not prepared for it. That's basically the theme of these dreams.

The story always revolves around a class I've not been attending, either because I can't find it or I'm not sure I'm meant to take the class in the first place.

It's very odd, I was always a good student.

In real life, I haven't taken a test in years, so I always wake up and shrug it off as just some weird dream. But this morning I got thinking about what it could mean, and why school would even be on my mind now.

I remembered my mother years ago telling me she still had nightmares about their comprehensive end if high school exam, with which an 18 year old's entire future is decided.

But my dreams are different.

They don't frighten me. They make me feel helpless and hopeless!

I go about the dream knowing that I'm going to fail long before the test and every day i fail a little more because I'm not dealing with the situation.

Like why don't I find the class or ask someone so I can start attending?

Every day in the dream makes failure more certain. And I know this the whole time, yet I choose to ignore it. And in the end, I always fail just as I expected.

I know what the dream means to me and exactly what I'm avoiding in real life.

So I'm not really in need of an interpreter or shrink to probe my brain. Thanks for the offer tho!

But does this dream mean anything to you?

Doesn't my dream describe the anatomy of failure?

Isn't this how we all fail before actually failing?

Like your online business, if it's not working out for you, I bet you know it deep down that the situation is hopeless. You still go through the motions knowing they won't change the outcome.

You also probably know exactly what you need to do to change your future. But you're avoiding something that should be done, with full knowledge how it ends if you don't do it.

Every action you take, every decision you make, every time you avoid doing what you know you should...turns failure into more of a certainty.

And even though you know this, you're feeling hopeless, overwhelmed, like the future is set in stone and there's no point trying to change it.

I'm right.

The courses you buy and never read, the money you invest and never try hard enough to recover...the fact that you've been winging it, going where the wind blows, with no concrete plan or purpose for anything you do...

That's all the proof you need.

You've planned for failure already. And the more you resist addressing the situation head-on and doing what you know you should...the more you know you'll hit rock bottom.

Let's turn that around.

No one wants to feel hopeless. That's just shitty.

But how do you get hope when hope is lost?

It's simple. Just make a written plan with concrete steps for reaching a realistic goal. You've heard this advice a gazillion times and I bet you still don't see the importance of WRITING the plan down.

Writing your plan forces you to stare down that task that you're avoiding and i know it makes you feel guilty that you're not doing them.

But when your mind tells you how to fail later, your written plan will remind you how not to fail.

When you're feeling hopeless, and we all do sometimes, just look at the plan to see what you've been avoiding and find a way to get it done.

Is it work?

Is it writing an email?

Is it fixing a problem?

Is it money you know you have to invest but don't want to yet?

Is it something you know you should learn but haven't got around to?

Whatever is holding you back, get it done by hook or by crook. Get someone else to do it, swallow that pill, and find an alternative.

What you'll find is that HOPE returns immediately.

Suddenly your future is looking bright and sunny.

Now you have a chance of succeeding.

Have a great day!

I think you just have to go with the flow man, work your way through the lessons and not worry too much about things not coming together instantly.
I started here just under a month ago and was suffering depression due to work and health troubles and was seeing a psychologist. What I got from this was to stop looking in the past to the things that angered or frustrated me that I now cannot change.
I took the WA option to create something I was passionate about and happy to do. I won't lie the pressure to achieve can sometimes be overwhelming, I only have one referral and have earned no revenue with affiliates to date but with more learning and promotion i reckon things will start changing.
What i feel is my site is so incomplete and I have so much content to add but bite size goals will help achieve this.
I feel for you because I have or slightly am still there, but keep at it and don't hesitate to contact me for a bit of mutual support
