WA link exchange is a great idea for all of us, to show support for WA members.

Will you be willing to give your site URL so people here at WA could back link to your site so your ranking in Google would increase?  Please post your ideas.

I thought the affiliate works because the community visit your website and you visit theirs, I thought you exchange links and boost each other, man was I wrong. Anyway anyone who is interested in what I write about you can visit www.zenithatyourservice.com

You know I actually asked a couple people on here when I first got started if they wanted to exchange links on our websites and they didn't want to because my site was ranked below theirs..I'm guess it counts as a bad backlink and can hurt their ratings and help mine?

Hmmm, I'd have to do some research on that, and I will. But, if people only linked to sites ranked higher than their own, then that kinda presents a problem. I thought Google only cared about a good natural backlink, regardless of site rank. Thanks, for responding and let's drive this until we find out. This can be one way to create another "benefit" of being in the WA community.

I'm with you feemo, I was lost when they said that.

It could just be a myth or scare they heard elsewhere that they don't want to take the chance risking. Personally, I will link my site to any relevant website..as I believe relevance and presence are the keys..but I'm new and don't know too much!

I think this is as important of a post as the "share your content with intent" post so let's definitely get to the bottom of this!

Here is some pretty heavy discussion by some snotty nose geeky kids. You'll see what I mean after you start to read the comments. This link business is tempermental, if not, complicated. Maybe, we should just leave the idea alone. That might be what the folks before us did.

Here's more info. It's probably just as well to leave it alone and focus on site content versus building links. http://www.bkv.com/blog/do-link-building-seo-services-still-work-three-ways-to-keep-the-penguin-happy/

If we are linking from our web sites and not from our WA affiliate site I don't think it would be a problem BUT I to am not sure about it that is why I am posting and hope to get more in put and info from Kyle and others.

Gard, you get any more info on this?

It sounds like a good idea but I don't know if there would be other implications. I'm not current on SEO and how the giants handle it. It'd be good to hear from some experts but I'd be willing to trade links.
