Here's What Amazon Wants What They Really, Really Want .

Last Update: April 09, 2016

If you're an Amazon Affiliate, besides the general affiliate disclosure you may have on a page on your website/blog, Amazon prefers (although I think the word should be demands) that you have specific languaging for their little disclosure, and that you have it at the footer (bottom) of EVERY page / post you do on your website that contains an Amazon affiliate link.

To be ultra-safe and not have to fear that Amazon WILL CLOSE your account (and they will), it's best to just have this on every page of your website / blog where you have affiliate links, be they Amazon-related, or not.

THIS is what Amazon wants to see (best at the footer/bottom of each of your pages/posts):

“X (put your name here) is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com, endless.com, MYHABIT.com, SmallParts.com, or AmazonWireless.com.”

I certainly do NOT want to be like an acquaintance of mine who had her affiliate account shut down by Amazon because she neglected to do this. Just thought I'd share this piece of info with you all.

No problem! I know I'll be using it...not only in with my Policy page but as a textual "note" at the footer of all my pages - just to be on the super-safe side.

I love your little tag-line; I used to actually HAD that as a dot com a long time ago when I was in Herbalife LOL. It served me well! Be blessed with success... Gail

Thank you, Gail. A widget at the foot of the site should serve someone nicely.

Hmmmm; wonder if there is such a widget???? There probably IS...I'll just have to search for it LOL. Of course you could always go into your "widget" section of your WP site (sidebar), and drag the "text" thingy to either the sidebar or footer - wherever you wanted it - and put this specific disclosure statement there.

Hey GailKing1, that is a good heads up for anyone participating in the Amazon affiliates program. I can't because I am in a no-Amazon state! You don't want to do anything(or not do something as this case is) that Amazon will not like, because they can shut you down in an instant. That is really bad for you if Amazon was your only income source. Thanks for putting it out there.

You're very welcome! Altho I'm new to WA, I've been online for years. Made no $$ with Amazon yet tho...but am a very happy Amazon shopper LOL. I'm just raring to get going (finally after so long) with this affiliate marketing thing. Be blessed! :)
