The Greatest Show On Earth And What It Can Teach Us

Anyway it was mine. I have been to a couple now around the world and last weekend the Singapore Grand Prix was on and I am living in Singapore at the moment. I went for a walk , camera in hand and thought I would see how far I could get without a pit crew ticket. it was worth a try!
As Singapore is a street circuit I was able to actually walk on the track! :) I was actually able to walk on the tracks for a few hours. I got right in behind the pits. It was very exciting for me. As I walked the track though I couldn't help but think of the dedication of the drivers.
They train for years through karting, GP3, GP 2 and a handful of them make it to the biggest game in the world. The Formula One Grand Prix a truly international event. No driver is able to get a walk up start as a driver in a Formula One seat. And along the way they have set back and a ton of them. Financial setbacks, injuries, crashes, losing a drive in a team, having to be an independent driver without a teams backing.
But each one of these guys has risen above the setbacks to gain their position in the drivers seat. Along the way they loved what they did. They loved their karting time but as they improved and learned more, they were able to step up to the next level.
The things I took away was the much like business and internet marketing
- they all started with no idea of what were doing at one point they were are newbies
- they possess resilience and persistence to triumph over any challenges that came their way
- they seek out experts in the field to coach, mentor and help them
- when they succeeded they helped others and gave back to the community.
I couldn't help but think of the friends here at WA
- we were all newbies and there is a huge market of newbies needing help in every market and niche possible.
- We possess a persistence to learn, grow and improve
- We are here because of the expertise offered by everyone here. Everyone is good at something and we share that here
- We have the opportunity to give back to the community as we learn.

PS I was praying for Mark Webber to win. He is the Aussie in the Red Bull!
