Country or City Living?
Growing up as a city girl compared to my life now as a country girl. Life is definitely different, it's a slower pace. Now that I am older I am certainly enjoying the relaxed way of life. I still work 3 days in Pathology here and I know at least half the town due to them coming to doctors and blood tests needed.
(What I love about living in country)
NO SIRENS GOING CONSTANTLY
NO TRAFFIC LIGHTS
MOST PEOPLE WILL WAVE AND SAY HI
CRIME RATE IS HARDLY ANY
EVERYONE KNOWS YOU
CARING ATTITUDES WILLING TO HELP IF NEEDED
MUCH MORE RELAXED WAY OF LIVING PRESSURE IS NOT THERE
NO TAKE AWAY FOOD SHOPS (LOL) cannot be tempted.
(Living in the city)
THE PRESSURE STRESS CAN BE INCREDIBLE HAVING TO KEEP UP
TRAFFIC LIGHTS EVERYWHERE SO CONTINUAL STOPPING AND STARTING
ALWAYS BUSY ON ROADS NOT JUST PEAK HOUR ANYMORE
SHOPS EVERYWHERE PEOPLE EVERYWHERE
PARKING USUALLY A HASSLE
CRIME
ROAD RAGE
TAKING AN HOUR OR MORE DRIVING TO WORK
NOISE SIRENS
PEOPLE CANNOT BE BOTHERED TO SMILE AND SAY HI
Well, that's enough for me! I know there are plenty more that's enough to start with.
I must admit though when I was younger it was all I knew, going into the city working and you just keep up, it does have its plus points. Having everything there if you need, instead of now I must travel two hours to get to the outer suburbs of the city. I still believe bringing up children it's a wonderful life in the country, I think they are happy with hardly any peer pressure. Where as in the city children want more!!! They must keep up with friends, the bullying doesn't seem to exist in country towns. Well that's my view anyway,

Hey there, yes, I'm a born and bred country girl, and have pretty much always lived 5 minutes from the beach - Gotta love it!
I can go to the city for a few days and then the country calls me home.
Hope your WA journey is going great, this platform is simply amazing isn't it?
Cheers,
Jacqueline
Yes same when I was in the city I also lived 5 minutes from beach, that was great. But now I a older I much prefer the country, (Well that's for now) lol. Even though my husband said he wants to live by the beach when we retire. It will still be 2 hours out of the city though. My hubby has grown up and lived in the country all his life, but now he wants near the beach to retire anyway. It's in the wheatbelt here very hot humid and dry, winter is nice though. Thanks for your comment Jacqueline.
