Stay with your vision
When I first started to build my website on identity theft, I had a clear vision in mind on how I wanted to do it. My focus was going to be on providing high quality content. And it was working, readers were enjoying my posts and basically that is all what I ever wanted for my website. It was only when I started to listen to somebody else who was trying to change my vision on the website, it started to go wrong. I was wasting time because I was trying to keep my vision as well as somebody else's vision on my website. And I can tell you, it doesn't work.
I have lost enough time and what I learnt out of all this is, when you have a clear vision in your mind on how you are going to build your website, take advice from fellow WA members on how you can apply your vision for your site. But never ever let somebody else try and change your vision, it simply doesn't work.
I had great New Year Resolutions and how quickly I started to drift off the course I had. No more, I am returning to my initial vision and have quality content as the nr 1 priority and not an online shop as my friend was trying to get me to do.
I will become an authority within the niche of my website and it will be a place where people can come and inform themselves on the subject of identity theft.
I have only one advice. STAY WITH YOUR VISION !

Yes, your vision is not someone else's but there are so many people in our circles who think they know what our road looks like and how to get there from here. Stay laser focused and with a clear vision and we will all arrive at our destination.
Hello friendlybf, Excellent advice, thanks! It's easy enough to say "stay with your vision" but you learned this lesson through an experience, so it's much more meaningful. You're fortunate because you only started to drift off course after New Year's, a little over a month ago. You were smart enough to realize your mistake very quickly. Yes that is the only way because things do get tough and you wonder what is happening and why is it not working but it is when you just stick to your beliefs then your dream comes true!
