A Blog is Like a Bowl of Fruit Salad
A Blog is Like Bowl of Fruit Salad
When you start out to write a blog there might be just a few ideas to commence writing on. Miraculously the more you write the more the ideas begin to flow and soon you will have a fruit bowl full of sweet ideas and perhaps some not so sweet, even bitter.
Make a list
I am making a fruit salad for a dinner party I will make a list of all the different fruits I want to include before I start then head off to the fruit and veg shop to buy everything on my list. I will take care to choose the very best of each kind because I want my fruit salad to be full of interesting flavors which blend together to create a sensational sweet dish which will satisfy any palette.
Prepare your Content
Once I have my selection I will take it home and begin to prepare. Some fruit will just need washing before being added to the mix, others will need a bit more trimming. Like the pineapple for instance, it is a bit prickly on the outside so we need to pare away all the inedible parts first, so also with the citrus fruits, bananas, melons and kiwi.
Present the Finished Product
The finished product needs to look appealing and appetizing as well as taste amazing You need to take care with both preparation and presentation.
There comes a point when there is nothing more you can add, you have exhausted all your ingredients and the fruit salad is ready to be consumed and its time to start again on something different.
Now For the Blog
Make a List of Post Ideas
When writing a blog you first need to start with a list of ideas for each blog post. Put all your ideas on your shopping list and then start sourcing the information you need to prepare your post to be added to the blog (not the bowl)
Prepare and Research
Some ideas will require a good deal of research or preparation but others will flow beautifully from your own wealth of knowledge. To make it the very best blog you can you may sometimes have to go to great lengths to get the most pertinent and gripping content.
Present the Finished Product
Each idea needs to be presented with care and attention so that it maintains its appeal to the audience you are targeting. Waffle needs to be trimmed, grammar and spelling checked and some finishing touches added to make it more palatable to your reader such as some relevant pictures or videos.
Eventually you will exhaust all the ideas you have listed and decide it is time to allow your readers to feast on every morsel .
Invite Your Guests or Target Audience to Consume
I invite guests to dinner to enjoy the meal and finish with some freshly made fruit salad. Likewise, with a blog, you need to invite people to come and savor your writing. This may mean some paid advertising so ensure you choose the right audience for your subject. For instance if you have written a blog about ways to prepare meat dishes you would not choose to promote it to vegans or one about baby products would be best directed at people in the age range of say 20-40.
If your guests have enjoyed or benefited from what you have served, they will come back for more.
Happy Blogging

Can't help myself real food for thought.
Cute ; the pun, thank you for your comment, Some things are best left out of the fruit salad, like bananas because they go brown and spoil the appearance.
This is brilliant ! You are so spot on!
What an illustration , that we will re-read and implement.
Thank you for this blog.
Thank you for your comment.
It was just one of those posts that just flowed from the inner workings of the mind. I had been making fruit salad for a church luncheon.
