So it's been a couple days since I have been on here but I just wanted to share something. I was diagnosed with severe depression at 16 and have been fighting ever since. I came across a website called 7 cups of tea which I am a member of. it is a community for people with Mental Health Conditions and you can help others aswell as speak about your own problems. I have been part of this community for years now and everyday I dedicate an hour of my time to help other people with serious mental co

So tonight will be my 3rd session back in the dojo and I can feel the benefits already of this amazing martial art. When people think of Karate they just assume you learn how to kick and punch.... And I don't blame them. I was the same. It is only when you have practiced for some time that the bigger picture opens up. As a Karateka you are encouraged to question your spirit, your morals, your fears everything. It is known as BUDO or the self development aspect of the art and this is what truly

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed that, as one problem was solved, a new one arose. Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to a boil. In the first, she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground

Ok so tonight I am going to be retraining in Karate. I first took an interest in Martial Arts from watching films of Bruce Lee and Jean-Claude Van Damme when I was younger. I have studied different martial arts but have always had a fascination with Shotokan Style Karate and since leaving training 3 years ago I have been eager to return to the dojo and once again expand my knowledge as a karateka. Well tonight I am doing just that. Stepping once again into the Dojo but this time i'm not leaving

There was once a very wise teacher, whose words of wisdom students would come from far and wide to hear. One day as usual, many students began to gather in the teaching room. They came in and sat down very quietly, looking to the front with keen anticipation, ready to hear what the teacher had to say. Eventually the teacher came in and sat down in front of the students. The room was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. On one side of the teacher was a large glass jar. On the other side was a pil

"Sometimes we get so caught up making a living that we forget to make a life!". What I mean by this is the thought of creating financial freedom is so strong and a common goal that everyone wants and people will work themselves into exhaustion to get there. C'mon who really enjoys paying their bills and budgeting each month. If I came up to you right now and gave you a cheque for a million dollars with no catch than you would take it right? because everyone wants financial freedom that badly.

BANK ACCOUNT Imagine there is a bank, which credits your account each morning with $86,400 carries over no balance from day to day, allows you to keep no cash balance, and every evening cancels whatever part of the amount you had failed to use during the day. What would you do? Draw out every pence, of course! Well, everyone has such a bank. Its name is Time. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you havefailed to invest to good

Many people have situations in life that they hope to improve. It can be that they hope to lose weight, hope to be more financially free, hope to better their business, etc. The people who succeed are the people who don’t lay on the couch hoping for success… they make it happen, they get motivated. They get up, go out and work. They won’t stop, even when they’ve achieved their goals. Very recently, I was on a friend’s Facebook, and I was looking at one of their posts. They have

There was an old mule. One day accidentally he fell into the farmer’s well. The farmer has evaluated the situation and thought to himself, that neither the well nor the old mule was worth the efforts to save them. Thus he decided to haul dirt to bury the old mule in the well. So the farmer called his neighbours and together they started shoveling dirt into the well. The old mule was terrified and hysterical in the beginning. But soon one hopeful idea came to his mind – every time when a
