a friend of mine tryed to sign up for WA but failed to succeed.... a braincracker as we do not understand what's going on. This is what he gets:

http://honestaffiliateprog

The username is to many characters. I ran into that issue before.

Quick question, Is your friend trying to sign up on your computer?

no he signed up on his own desktop

Try using your direct affiliate link

i'm still working on the issue, have send an pm to KYLE and CARSON. waiting for repl amyway thanks for the help

It is probably a glitch. PM Kyle or Carson and show one of them what's going on as you did here with us. They will fix it for you.

HOW CAN I RESTORE THIS !!!!!!!!

Glad you found it, because it could have been devastating if you didn't.
A lesson for everyone. Remember to backup often.

Hey Fred, as others have already suggested, I never recommend typing directly into an online service. It's essential to have your own backup, either by using Tools > Export or using a plugin such as BackWPUp, https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/backup-wordpress-to-dropbox-tutorial Note that BackWPUp will no longer run automated backups on WA hosting but it can be triggered manually. Rich.

i mostly create content via word, and paste it via the wordpress paste option and that works fine for me, the little details i can repair directly into wp. but the strange thing is that i did nothing strange, just saved the post i was working on and viewing post i saw it was gone ...allong with all my other posts. Finally i restored them took me a couple of hours changing fonts etc..... but i almost made the decission that making money online is very hard really verry verry hard, how others do it is a BIG question!!! following the step in WA maybe i hope i make some money allong the way or else its not so much fun to do it!!!
untill now ZERO $ !!

Fred

Aw, sorry, from the "headline" I assumed you'd simply lost a single page. If you'd lost "everything" then you should always open a hosting Support Ticket on the blue bar in Websites & Hosting and ask them to restore from their last backup. R.

have allready applied the back up plugin ..

and everything has been manually restored!! good lesson learned today

thanks for the help!!!

No probs. :) R.

Hi Rich, I have the BackWPUp plugin and i have it saved to dropbox. I was under the impression that I set it up so that every Sunday it saved automatically, that is not the case? So should I be logging into wordpress and running the job manually once a week?

Check your Dropbox folder, but since the last security update at WA, some of those hosting here have mentioned that it's not "scheduling". If this is the case, run it manually once a week, or before doing any installs or updates, etc. R.

Thank you!

thanks for the help i have restored the website, but the question is how did this happen
is it poor hosting or something else .

It's hard to know. How did you restore it? Most of the time it is human error.

~ Jude

just manually restored and fixed every post possible, i realy have now cleu on how this could happen. It is a mistery. hope that everything stays the way it is, the frustration is bad for ones mood!!!

but thanks for the help!!

I hope you are able to use some of the suggestions given by others below. Sometimes you can simply use your browser's back button to get back to the edit page with your content on it. Depending on what you've done before this, this does sometimes work. Once there, if you can get there, COPY it immediately and put it onto Notepad, Word, Google Drive, or any other of your favourite applications on your computer.

WordPress does autosave now, something they never used to do. Albeit, if you lose this permanently, it is an expensive lesson. Sorry for your frustration. Many of us on here have had this issue at one time or another.

Hey, I just found my page in TRASH! Go to your site and look for Trash (1) Click on trash, it's restored! Thanks to judebanks! Wow! I worked on it all day yesterday. Thanks

Glad you found it. Did you get your font size fixed, Eleanor. I left you a reply in another discussion...can't remember where now.

I just did the same thing! I thought I had a revision but it was my first attempt.
I 'trashed' b./c the image was in the wrong place and I didn't think!
I'll look in the trash file. I had published it.Where would it be on the web?

Glad you found it.

As Kerri says, if you have made changes, WP automatically saves each revision, so your last one should still be there.

Are you referring to your honest affiliate site? Have you published the draft yet? If so, check on the web to see if your page is cached there.

Do you know how you lost it? It's easy enough to put it in trash by mistake, have you looked there?

Post back and let us know how it goes. I hope you can restore your hard work. ~Jude

As well as doing what Kerri (Digger12) has suggested, have you been backing up your site? If you haven't you should do. Also I would never advise anyone to type directly into wordpress.. Use google docs or word etc so that you always have a copy if something goes wrong.

That is good to know about not tying directly on wordpress, cause that's exactly what I have been doing!! I'm saving everything to word right now and will type on there from now on. Thanks for the tip!

Did you save as you went along..? If you did you can restore it.
Go into the page and on the right hand side it should say : Staus: Visibility: Revisions.. if you click on revision you can get the last saved copy or a previous one..

Ah you said page, so I thought it was one page... hope you got it figure out.. a good reminder, to back up frequetnly
