Regerding Tracking Links And ClickMagick

Do you use ClickMagick in your business? After a long time, I (finally) see that if you are serious about your business, you need to know whats going on with your business. DHA...

I tried to add a tracking pixel inside ClickFunnels. Let me show you with some pictures

Now, this should work in theory. However here is my problem.... ClickMagick tracking total clicks, not unique clicks or actions. in this case visotors who have opted in, became a lead and reached the first stem in my autoresponder.

And if you’re already using ClickMagick Campaigns for tracking conversions, as you really should be, this doesn’t affect you at all and you have nothing to do and nothing to worry about.


Why should I be using ClickMagick Campaigns to track my conversions?

ClickMagick Campaigns is a modern tracking solution that utilizes industry-standard UTM parameters added to your own URLs for tracking. This means there are no redirects or Third-Party cookies, and it uses only “First Party Data.”

This is really the only acceptable way to track your traffic and your conversions in 2021 and beyond, and Campaigns is the future of ClickMagick.

We’ll continue to support conversion tracking with Tracking Links until Chrome makes it all but impossible in the second half of 2023, but all new features and upgrades are being made only in the Campaigns tracking system.

There will always be lots of use cases for Tracking Links, and ClickMagick will always have the best Tracking Links in the industry, but when it comes to conversion tracking their days are numbered.


I don’t want to upgrade to Campaigns. Can’t you “fix” the problem some other way?

Technically we could, but it would complicate things quite a bit and it just doesn’t make any sense.

If you’re currently using Tracking Links and have everything working the way you want, and you just don’t want to put in the effort to switch to Campaigns “for no reason,” we totally get it ...

But the bottom line is that even if we did continue to support conversion tracking with Tracking Links after 2023, it would require a bunch of really technical changes on your end to keep it working ...

And it would honestly be easier to just switch to Campaigns.

Since Campaigns is more powerful, and it’s the future of ClickMagick, upgrading to Campaigns is the only thing that makes sense. And we’re positive you’ll absolutely love it.


What should I know if I insist on tracking my conversions with Tracking Links for now?

Both Safari and Firefox currently block Third-Party cookies in certain situations, which can affect the accuracy of conversion tracking when using Tracking Links.

Chrome will stop supporting them entirely towards the end of 2023, and both Safari and Firefox will stop supporting them entirely at the same time if not before.

So if you insist on continuing to use Tracking Links for conversion tracking, here’s what you should know ...

• Safari’s Intelligent Tracking Prevention and Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection will cause Third-Party cookies to be blocked, and prevent accurate conversion tracking when using Tracking Links and Tracking Pixels – but only when a specific privacy setting is enabled in the visitor’s browser.
  
• The good news is that, at least as of October 2021, this setting is only enabled by default on a new install of either the Safari or Firefox browser e.g. when someone buys a new device or installs one of these browsers for the first time. It is NOT enabled when browsers are updated.
  
• Based on the above, this currently only affects a small percentage of Internet users – and it doesn’t really affect your important stats or conversion rates in any meaningful way. They may not be perfectly accurate any more, but they’re still plenty accurate to make marketing decisions for now.

So if you’re currently using Tracking Links for conversion tracking you still have some time, but as each month passes it will become less and less accurate, and by the end of 2023 it won’t work at all."

I think my problem is that, as I understand it, tracking pixels will not work. But I have just started with incorporating pixels and tracking.
