We Marketers are always competing for prospective eyeballs on our content. PPC (pay per click advertising has been around for ages and Social media is considered relatively new in the marketing scheme of things.
Facebook, for example, has been around only 12 years and Twitter 10 years so compare that to the hundreds of years of Marketing opportunities. The fact is that most Social media users realize that they’re clicking on our advertisements.
Social Media does work and most people who do have success realize their success from posting paid ads or paying for Boosted Posts. To become successful simply by posting information is usually a poor return on your time or considered to be spam-like.
If you are looking to supplement your social media marketing consider another free method, Consider Blogging. Regardless if you have your own blog or not, being a guest blogger, within your industry, builds value, credibility and builds your brand.
The good news is that blogs these days are primarily formatted in lists. So long as you can think of a few points you want to hit on, you can blog!
Identify the leading blogs in your industry and make contact with them to become a guest blogger. I would also recommend getting a free Google+ account. Post your blog there as well Between your guest blog and Google + site you will begin to create awesome exposure!
