If the app is on your phone it can drain and eventually damage your battery. I had it and noticed my battery running down fast. My son in law had it, did a lot of research and got rid of it saying it can damage the phone.
Just researching and apparently both apple and google banned the apps at some point because of the damage they can cause.
Many blogs don't mention this as they want you to sign up through them.
As with anything look at the pros and cons first, especially if you have a nice new expensive phone.

At the moment, Frank, I'm still on learning curve on this crypto things. I do know the mining machines cost a lot of your electricity bill and very noisy too. Here, we have a lot of miners secretly stealing electricity (i don't know how they do it) and causing the authority millions in lost last year!
