I have come to learn that I have tremendous luck when it comes to finding loose change in strange crevices of my house. I’ve found quarters, dollar bills, fives, even twenties on a surprisingly regular basis.
Each and every time I would find these $20 gems, my first reaction was to spend it. It was never mine in the first place right? That's what I used to tell myself. It's a good feeling at first but let's be honest, I could have made good use of them.
Nowadays, I'm not satisfied until I find something useful to do with them. You would be surprised how you can stretch a $20 bill into something that lasts. Here are some ways you can spend a $20 bill. I will leave it up to you to decide where you'd like to put your $20.
Buy Flowers
You can head on over to your local grocery store or flower shop and buy the seasonal flowers to either decorate your house for the lovely guests that will be coming over or give a nicely arranged bunch to a special person.
Clean The Windows
We all like it when our house is looking spick and span. One of the best ways to do so is making sure the windows are extra clean. The house looks more inviting. You can purchase a jug of outdoor window washing solution that attaches directly to your garden hose for just $8.
It doesn't take a lot of effort to make your home look attractive and clearly not a lot of money either.
Detail Your Car
We all love that new car smell. However, you can only get that when you buy a new car. The alternative is to give your car a nice auto detailing. You tend to feel more positive and confident when you enter a clean freshly smelling car.
Take that $20 and give your vehicle a nice sparkle it deserves.
Get Some Pots & Plant Herbs
It’s pretty easy to grow a few herbs in a simple flower pot for use in your kitchen. Fresh herbs make the kitchen smell great and gives you access to some very nutritious options for your meals.
You can get a small Terra cotta pot for just a few dollars at your local hardware store. Pick up a few packets of seeds, fill up the pot with some dirt that you can find pretty much anywhere, and plant. Sit the pot on a windowsill and water them occasionally.

Yes you can do something useful with it but others would just prefer to do something fun with it. go for a dinner date. Go for a nice drink. Head on over to the cinema. There's a number of ways to enjoy a newly found $20 dollar bill.
The last time I found $20, I bought a tub of ice cream and watched a movie with my girlfriend. I must admit, not the most useful way to spend it but it was fun.
Sometimes a little bit of fun is just what the doctor ordered.
Start a Business
Now this is where you'll have the chance to double your money and make a STACK! Believe it or not, $20 can be the seed money for a number of businesses.
Want to start your own website? $20 will pay for the domain name and for a few months of hosting. Or you can jump on wealthy affiliate, go Premium, access a bunch of classes and lessons and turn that $20 bill into an amount you never thought possible. The choice is yours.
