I'm trying to access the product picture on the page without clicking. I hope i'm explaining this okay. Newbie so inexperienced right now!

Sorry, where are you seeing this issue? Can you leave as an example (the link) where you are seeing this, or a screenshot. That would be really helpful here to help us get you sorted.

You need paste the whole html link in the text interface of your block editor. You may click the plus navy icon, then search for custom HTML.

You may refresh and try again.

Thank you :) I used the block editor after i had written out my post as i have never used it before.

I have added the full link that includes text and image and this works.

Now when i try and edit to HTML it just adds loads of text for the link that is then visible within my post. Is there a way i can switch HTML on for existing blocks please? That will present the image widget.

Thank you

That popped up box is just showing you what you included in your link per your back office however it will not show in your front page website. It will only show the link underlined and highlighted according to your theme settings.

So you are okay you may try it now.

You may need to also empty the browser cache, refresh and try again. Try URL in a different browser or mobile device.

You can also empty servers cache.
Websites > Site Manager > Details > Sitespeed > Empty site cache

Thanks 🙏 It doesn’t show the text but it also doesn’t show the widget either. I just wanted to show you that I had added it. I’ve obviously not done something and it won’t show it correctly, if I edit the paragraph block to HTML it adds extra text but when I check on a mobile there is not widget image only the text that you shouldn’t see. I emptied my cache earlier today so not sure haha. Appreciate any advice eventually I will work it out.

Getting Started

I clicked on someone's training post previously and thought that would look great on my site. I don't know why i never wrote it down lol. Now i can't find the training. Any h

is this in the sidebar ...
if so then when you setup the category widget there is a selecion to make it a dropdown box rather than a list of categories...
but one question, unless you have so many categories that hte list is huge why make your visitors click once more to get the information...
always make it as easy as possible for your visitors to get and see where they are going...

Thank you. I do have a lot of categories. I will give it a try to see what it looks like and how it functions but I totally take on board your comment about the user experience. I haven’t added any menus to my site yet. I want to get an understanding of how different things work.

maybe take a review of your site and wonder how you can make it simpler...
could you use only 5 categories...
i know it may be hard to reduce it to that amount....
but can you then use tags to tie everything else together...
this way it makes it easier for your visitors to navigate your site...
having to drill down menus too many levels will either confuse or help your visitor....
most will have entered your site form a link to a post - can they then easily find other related information on your site...

just had a look and you can select top level selection only and this may simplify the category listing in the sidebar....

Thanks for the advice. I’ve made some changes today and no doubt as time goes on I’ll be making loads more 😂 I do want to simplify things as much as possible.

Provided you created your categories you can add to your menu as headers or subs and update changes.

To create hover over posts and click categories to create.

If you do not want your category to do anything you may add # in the custom URL.

I have created my categories. I don’t want to add to an existing menu I wanted them as a separate search function. Excuse my lack of understanding I’m new to this.

No problem. The choice is yours how you go about adding them. You can get creative however it is fitting your website and content
